Pulse - Pink Floyd. And damn proud about it. Months later I got the Deep Purple greatest hits and more Pink Floyd.

Bless my mom, she's at fault for this :) We used to have PF, Deep Purple, Elvis, Beatles, Rainbow vinyls... actually we still have them. Bah, getting nostalgic.

edit: Athan, Wired for Sound is great, nothing to be ashamed of. I really don't get it, why are you people so started against Cliff Richard... just because the majority says he's "gay" and all that shit. Since when do you have to listen widely accepted music ? *snort*

Well, it was more THAT song was awfully cheesey, and bad memories of the video.

As for widely accepted music, I tend to listen to anything I find I actually *LIKE*. This is a bit out of date but my mp3 list does show a pretty wide range of taste I think. Hmmm, it doesn't even have the classical stuff on it, must update sometime.

Dave Matthews Band playing right now :).

Queens Greatest Hits vol II in turkey, off a dodgy streetseller who greeted every tourist in their native language. At it was only 10k liras, back in 1994.

My first single was Sparkies Magic Piano followed closely by my Pinkie and Perkie collection.

My first Album was bought for me so that doesnt count, Tarkus by ELP, but it kinda got me into progressive Rock buying all the early Yes albums.
My first purchase though was Free Fire and Water by Free.

First ever single was The Number of the Beast by Iron Maiden, and I think the first album I bought was probably Flag by Yello, but its ages ago I can't remember now.

My first ever CD was Prokieves (sp) - Lieutenant Kiev. This was followed 2 years later by the Matrix OST. It took me another 6 months to "get" the music in it, originally just seeing it as a load of noise. Havent looked back since though :D

The only single i've ever bought was the single for Dj Sankin's - Protect your mind (for the love of a princess) that i found in a shop last year. One of my favourite dance tracks that

First single: Right said Fred, Deeply dippy.

I honestly can't remember my first album, and I don't think I want to.

Way to make a guy feel old.

Christ, I was out of sixth-form by then.

My first tape was a 90 minute copy from a mate that Bobby brown on one side and Chubby brown on the other; I kid you not.

First album was 'Madstock' by Madness, a recording of their 1992 gig in Finsbury Park. An excellent Greatest Hits-style performance. Purchased it that year; I was 10. I remember I was looking for 'Boss Drum' by the Shamen at the time, but couldn't find it. I got it for Christmas that year.

Really can't remember my first single... it came a LONG time after I bought my first album, though. Actually I think it might have been 'Marblehead Johnson' by the Bluetones, 1995ish.

My first Album was Get a Grip by Aerosmith it was a present from one of my mates to try and get me into rock music and forget Indie.

Didn't work though I finally ended up loving House.
