SAS has BW thought about putting up a TAC2 beta server for us Euro's? BW has by far the biggest TAC community out side of TAC's home land Australia and we'll want somewhere warn and friendly to play

Just come back from 3 solid hours T2 CTF.

Vechiles your going to love. I managed to find a team mate who was a good gunner and with my driving skills we managed to down 5-6 enemy tribes players. Try ramming a player and hear the bump, then the crunching sound )

Also the new cloaking pack. I saw a player cloak and while I was hovering in the air could see his dust kick up where he was running ! Managed to kill him as well .

I only got the game because of BW server testing, and I think the shop date is the 13th? So you'll have to wait a bit for it. Will try doing a review or at least do a column with some screenshots.

Again anything you want to ask about the game post here and I'll check it out .

Not sure about TAC2 servers. Sledge want to fill me in on that?

T2 sounds really cool. I wan't gonna get it a week or so back cos me is a CS-aholic , but now I am really looking forward to getting it.

Tribes1 had (and still has) some of the best netcode around. Tribes2 is meant to be better. I know that one of the TSN staff (Tribes shoutcast network http://tsn.tribalwar.com) said he was pinging 400 on one server and he could still play well. Ok Sniping might be out of the picture but you can play nearly all of the other roles.

In t1 i get about 65ms on isdn for UK servers

1: what specs comp do you have and can you give us a brief overveiw of you performance (load up a game and measure FPS indoors, outdoors and in the heat of a battle)

2: is the authing process a real bitch like everyone says it is, i know there are people who can't play because the authservers are maxxed. I hear the aservers made 15K new accounts on their first day.

finaly: will be nessersary to pre order Tribes2 for when it does come out since i have heard ppl are haveing problems getting it in the US. I doubt the UK tribes scene is as big as the US so i didn't think it would be a problem, but now i am having 2nd thoughts. Can you give me any idea from EB what the pre-order lists are like?

PIII 850, 256 RAM, geforce DDR.

Min spec for t2 is a p300 64 ram so I think my machine can handle anything that tribes2 throws at it, although modem wise I take a hit. Lots of options to tweak like lower detail of the terrian so will have a play with them later :/

auth first time everytime. There is a mention of a prob, but it gives the solution (i.e. choose a username noone else will have thought of). Also you can alias to any player name you like. Noone sees the username you use except WON so no worries about losing your favouite name .

no idea on eb pre-order lists, but I warn you now. Get tribes2 the day it comes out or ASAP. As soon as the word spreads and reviews start appearing in mags more and more people will get this game. T2 could over take CS as the most played online game

How will tribes 2 perform for me. shall i get the NVIDIA GEFORCE 2 MX 32MB AGP...i have found it for £82 is that a good price.

Also SAS whats the team play like on servers? Does you see alot of escorting going on? and how do ground vechiles improve play?

Also whats this about SAS going to record some game of his for us if so i want to see it?

Lol the game doesn't push it that far belive me, im buying a GF3 for sure, but trust me T2 doesn't even dent my GTS. What the fuck did they do to the weapon models, Take tips from the firearms people? there total crap now! they look like kids toys from toys'rus No more beffy shining metals, eg stonking chain gun, mortars there crap looking now and amature like. Why ohh why, it can't be my setup, i max ALL the details out, and it still runs like silk, any ideas from those that have it?

Not many uk servers out atm, so game was laggy for me. Team play seemed ok. Espeically when it comes to the bomber. 3 people on one bomber rocks . Ground vechiles offer a number of new tactical ways to attack. Tank has a machine gun type thing + mortar. Can move near to a turret and waste it or bomb the enemy base. The bike is excellent for a flag carrier .

Found a record button yesterday but not sure how it records. As for screenshots will try and grab some today.

Press X.....should see "recording" in top left corner...press x again to stop.
