the thing i like most about daoc is the thought of daoc and epic battles and great fun. or the thought of me being a deadly scout sneaking from hills and from behind trees (notice the contradiction with the reality).

The one thing that pulled me to buy Doac rather than EQ many moons ago was the Midgård theme. It was what made the difference. The other realms wasnt interesting as they looked like cookie cutter high fantasy realms, albeit a bit more structured, like EQ and toons of single player rpgs I had played. The rvr portion was enticing.

Though the rvr turned out to be crap as the combination of the Pentium 100 servers GOA used and the similar equipment Bredbandsbolagets European service partners used. The lag was MUCH worse than when I logged on at the Aces High servers in the USA...so I kept flightsimming for the adrenaline rush of rvr and stayed in Doac for the friends I made ingame.

The lag was magically resolved a few weeks before SI arrived. I think it was due to the Pentium II range was introduced in continental Europe or something and both GOA and European routers was upgraded. (insert smile here) Unfortunately, the rvr gameplay in Emain didnt stack up to the flightsimming as the plain jane deathmatching just didnt give you enough purpose to continue.

I loved lvling my gimpy critblade when I 1st started this game, specing totaly wrong ofc, was like all my points in sword and axe for some reason... <trys to think back to when I was an even worse n00b then today...> hmm can't moust be some mental block or something

Malmo sucked with it, but the zerk/shammy/huntress, I loved it... MONEY MONEY MONEY OOOH MUST BE FUNNEH... erm ignore me.


hmmm people I've meet, the nice ones ofc, have made playing the game very much worth it even with all the whining that happens from all.

I guess in class wise, stealth ones is what I enjoy most over the others, the ability to group and solo is great, team play with guild etc or be moody like and play by myself


Was kinda gettting bored to point of leaving, just talking to people generaly, but since trying out the ranger class on hib/excal, starting to enjoying lvlin/playing it.
