Dawn of the dead I think, though if you classed Aliens as a horror film then that would be my favourite.

Goulies, munchies, the gate or house.

Personally I hate horror films. Most are badly made, dreadfully unfunny pap.

if you combined the series then... night of the living dead, dawn of the dead and then day of the dead...

For a one off The Ring is pretty scary (especially when some git rings you at the exact time as the dvd fucks up :} )

Bub was in Day Of The Dead though! Altho' he is cool, you have a point..

For me;

Suspiria (Dario Argento's best film)
NOTLD '68 (Probably my most-watched film ever, I've got all 3 versions)
Halloween (The score fucks me up before I've even WATCHED the film!)
The Living Dead At The Manchester Morgue (Not scary at all, but still one of my favourite films, so it had to be included)
Last House On The Left (Oh...My...God :()

The horror movie that scared me most is The Ring but the one I like most is Brain Dead ( Does it really count as a horror movie ? )

Actually, I'd like to change my opinion.

I haven't the seen the Japanese version of the ring but I did see the eye which was pretty good.

So i'm gonna vote for the eye and the mothman prophecies. The latter being one of the few horrors that I genuinely liked. My original film choices were nostalgiac offerings only. They reminded me of my best mate at primary school.

I liked Mothman as well, like an X-Files episode tbh.

I like Exorcist, JAP Rings, also the film that scarred me as a child - The Brood.

I found the thing about as tense as opening a packet of revels.

The Thing is over rated pap tbh. I watched it only recently, so maybe back in the day it was good. It just didn't do owt for me.

Well it's not a horror in the truest sense, but it took me 4 attempts to watch to the end of Arachnaphobia :eek6:

How about The Hitcher, with Rutger Hauer?

Most Cronemburg films. The organic nature always gives me the creeps. Things growing in you etc etc. Shivers, Rabid, Scanners, The FLY,

The superb Videodrome

Thought I'd posted "The Thing" with appropriately gruesome pics before but must have hit "back" on my browser instead :)

Anyway, sans pics, "The Thing"....

Am i the only person in the world, who thinks that The Blair Witch Project is scary?

If you haven't done so yet, watch it by yourself, with all the lights off. Freaked me out for days after i did that tbh. Just the thought of some crazy old granny, floating around with hairy arms gives me the heeby jeebies. :(

The Ring (Jap version)
Night of the Living Dead

and Candyman and Hellraiser were classics in their day

House of 1000 Corpses is fucking dire and it seems a sequel is in the making

I've watched that film twice, once at the cinema, and once on DVD.

I refuse to watch it again until I find a more secure form of protection than hiding under the duvet.
