all this moaning for selling a GoV?
No, it is not solely for this GoV artifact.

Just this, i have had a dozen off ppl in my DAOC history that saw this thing comming. They left because off the sheer immaturity and narrowmindness they encountered time after time.

The so called FARMERS are , first off all, ALL ppl that are using two accounts, as in buffbot accounts.
This is an unfair advantage. (i know i have one as well, but as you may see, it doesn't change my way of dealing with things)

Those ppl, are able to figure out how they can complete certain things , their own way, alone. This, while the NORMAL gamer, casual, single account using, gets ON-line and has the SAME desires as all gamers. To obtain something nice and have fun with it.
Those ppl have to :
1) Look for the event and see if it is up.
2) Find assistance from a played 50 enhance cleric if they want to duo the event the same way as Buffers do.
3) If they find those, then they have to try and complete the event while the farmers have done this a million times, not knowing all the tricks... the chance off failiure is greater.
4)if those ppl Complete that certain event... they have YET to endure another incertainty beeing , lotto for the drops.

this is what a NORMAL gamer has to go through before he can obtain something himselfe the NORMAL way.
Our farmers bypass those four things, get the events, get the drops, they get all... also make it imposssible for some players to obtain this normally.
After obtaining all they go to their merchants, look at the supply and think: "hmmmmm, there aren't a lot of these on Cm, must be rare..... conclusion, 5mil plat for this item." . This while they are the once farming it.. making it "impossible" for other ppl to obtain and not letting their comrades get a chance on getting things for free.

First off all, for exemple on selling a GoV.... if you sell it.. why did you have it in the first place??

Was it your personal greed that bypassed your common sence, that you could have left it for someone who would be using it? As in not lotto or farm it to exploit it? Or is it just that little green monster that goes: hey i helped out, i MUST be rewarded.

you can do things for other ppl for free as well.. so if you farm things that you don't need , you could at LEAST make an efford in asking if someone want the main thing that drops there.

The way things most run by just shows an ENOURMOUS lack off CREATIVITY, they can't flee their reality so they bring it in the game... Poor sods.

I can only tell you how i play things in the game. Also hope that instead off beeing rediculized by the same bunch off utter annoyed morons that some ppl do the same (fyi there are ppl that act like i do, they just don't confront others with it).

Last night for exemple...
I thought like , hey, TOA is playable, lets go to Typhons. I know that ppl sell the regards scrolls for insaine prices , so i thought, let's have a look how hard that really is..
I ran over to the Eirines spot... and guess what... Regards off shades scrolls nr 3 seemed to be the easiest thing to get really, because i got two off them in ...maybee 1.5 hrs off killing some mobs there.
That made me think... and the only conclusion i could make was...
either i am EXTREMELY lucky, or most ppl seem to lack some serious game knowledge to know what they can do where and how they can do things....
So ppl selling things for insaine prices are really stupid...

I gave one scroll away for free to a mate.. and the second one i had some fun with...
I used a bit off creativety and launched an in-game real time auction.(minor roleplay off course)
Keeping in mind that all others sell that stuff for stupid prices i went like, ok, start price 500 gps... auction happened, verry decent price.. and all were happy.

My point in this last chapter beeing: If i get lucky.. why should i exploit it?
Why should i sell it like all do here;;; make it availble to the "verry" fortunate 12+hrs gamers? Nope, there are other ppl who do need it and that can use it..for the same reasons as all do.


Making the ammount off cash most charge for their drops..;is EXTREMELY HARD AND ANNOYING. If you want loads off cash, why don't you farm it the normal way, like trinketting or something, instead off exploiting something that should be availble to all paying players?
Do you think it is logical to let unfortunate-ppl do those Selling-ppl their Dirty work?
Is it because you can't be arsed to grind for cash that you make others suffer?
To conclude..; you make this game unpleasant for the "non-elite". You let other ppl do the things you don't like to do yourslefe...
You have no respect for you community. You only respect those that are in your immediate surroundings...

Do you have the slightest idea of how many hours Eggy's put down in daoc collecting those GoV's? Have you even got an idea of who helped 90% in synergy guild getting these GoV's?
Seriously, Eggy is probably one of the few albs that doesnt let his greed come first. That goes even for persons outside Synergy guild.

PS. And lol, he wasnt able to play with BB til quite recently because he could not run 2 accounts on his only computer.

I would like you to explain to me how creating impressive TOA SC templates, using initiative, teamwork, friendship and skill to obtain items, artifacts and level them in groups, all the while co-running a succesful RVR guild, helping guildies template and 'finish' SCing chars, as well as running series' of successful ML raids, that no doubt yourself and half of the guild you badly represent attend makes my chars "gimps". (Excuse the long sentance).

The artwork I created with my chars sparked from an interest in graphics - I wanted to test my own abilities. All feedback I recieved from the picture was thanks of inspiration from fellow players. Showing how possible it is to TOA chars while having fun intices others to do likewise, unlike yourself, whos tantrum tactics merely confirm the lack of common sense and assure many more happy years at Burger King.

I have also not recieved one other piece of negative feedback about this post. In fact, I get multiple messages every day from people having fun, running around taking snapshots, getting players to pose for them etc. Irony is obviously something you have not quite grasped yet. Moderators of this very forum have even submitted pictures to me.

I am a casual player, and its taken me months too get my artifacts, most are still being leveled. I run around in SI gear, and I am still only ML2. I earn on average 30k RPS a week. I am in a good guild, I have lots of friends online, which is why as a casual player I've gained items that I would not have got if I didnt have such a great guild and friends. I left DAoC for a few months, then came back with about 2p too my name, through friends and patience I have an excellent template and potential too have alot of fun in guild groups when I'm done becuase of all the nice toys I'll have too play with.

I think your obviously frustrated, and you've gone on and tried too justify how 'e-cool' you are by saying you have such and such artifacts at L10. Your rushing your replies, and making spelling errors and such that you would not make if you cooled down for 5 mins, and thought things through clearly. You have many very good points, but you justify them wrong and blabber on about stuff ;p so people just can't be arsed too argue, and instead of carrying on a good chat about a topic that is interesting, it turns into a flame war, just becuase you didnt think things through .

Too rub it in, people will write up a reply too you, without any of this blabber or won't relate too the topic in general, instead you become a laughing stock, and the more crap you spout without meaning, the more power you give too those to tear you down. I started reaver, and I got in a fuss about it, and still do, and rattled on about how bad the class is ;p I had some good points, but I ddint write them clearly enough nor justify them well enough, so I ended up a laughing stock, and everything I said be quoted and countered.. sparmer all artifacts on this scout were obtained as follows

i joined every event there is ... and left emptyhanded, then i got my Sorc and Bb and i went back to go get the artifacts , this in downtime off servers.. never had one fight over an arti..

the major artifacts i owe to my mates, formal mates, we had in KOTl, SoM , Golden spear and the like which aren't doable in duo i owe to them, and i thank them till today for helping me at that point.

main purpose off getting all is just to look at stats.; see what can be done , and also because the functionallity off the arties rock.

Now, back in those days, 3p was quite a lot of money, but would he lower his price, to, as he keeps harping on about "HELP THE REALM?" Would he fuck.

So can you see, everytime he goes on about Greed, he was one of the worst for it.

Now onto Eggy. Yes, Eggy is a close friend of mine and one I hold dear, but that wont reflect what im gonna say about him. Never have I met, such an unselfish person as this guy. The list of artifacts he has given away to guildies is probably longer than your dick, even at smallest font. Can you show me all the ML rush's you have organised for the realm? Go on, show me. So what if all his chars have GoV's wtf has that go to do with anything? Tell you what, next time we make a temp for our chars, lets show it you first ok? See if the artis meet with your approval. As for spot the alb, it was a joke, no one was offended except for you. It was getting to the stage where I was holding GG up in CS cos people wanted me next to them so they could take a screenshot.

Irontard im just wondering, when you turn up at the orc spawn in aldland and someone is already there xping and you say "either let me xp or i kill the trigger ogre" like you have done a few times, do you consider that helping the realm or you just doing exactly what you did in barrows and at the tower keeper.
