Dear lord don't go for an ATI card yes they offer a nice price but they will never shake that title of "bad drivers" and for the most part its true.
They are slow at updating their drivers, also games that use physX sometimes ATI cards don't take to them well.
Very very outdated view. They used to be plain awful for it but now it's actually easier to find the right ATI drivers then it is for Nvidia and they're updated very regularly without issues.
You're right, ATI cards don't do particularly well with NVIDIA Geforce Physx. That is probably the biggest downer getting an ATI card but when you're looking at a massively reduced price for the same performance (unless my 6 month old view has changed now?) it's a no brainer when you're on a lower budget. Basically, if you're spending a fair amount (i.e. £250+) go for NVidia because it'll run anything and have all the gubbins including PhysX. If under that amount, go for ATI and deal with missing very little and reducing your price. Spend the extra on a better processor or RAM.
It is an outdated view from someone who hasn't used Ati for a long time but like I said they will always struggle to shake that off from people who might have gone Nvidia because of that.
So what ATi card should I am for, I just followed a Nvidia 670, but now it's going for £190, bit out of my budget, a 660 ATI is going for £100, but im not sure of the performance differences;

Sorry to quote myself, but also, my PC randomly crashes every now and again and freezes (Music plays like really slowly) I'd imagine that's the processor more than anything or?
Before I upgraded I had a 9650 Phenom 4 cpus 2.3 I bought a 550ti and it wasn't great ;/
AMD Phenom 9850 Quad-Core Processor (4CPUs) 2.5GHZ
both of them cards would be bottlenecked by your processor if it's that old.
It doesn't matter buddy, the fact is the processor is very very old in terms of how fast processors have come a long these days and AMD processors do NOT age well at all.yeah but mines like 200 times better than yours, apparently.
Isn't the 660 being phased out for the 760
Just got an email from Scan.co.uk - 1.5GB Geforce 580GTX for £137.50
