When does it come out and any1 got an idea of subs costs? also is there pvp in it or rvr atall?

There is some PvP system, i never read it through in details, but from what i know, it'll be nothing new and refreshing then DaoC has.

Will basicly be dark side vs light side, a lot more zones to pvp in though, but keeps to siege etc etc..

personally i don't look forward to it, the graphics or the skill systems are just not appealing at all to me, sounds like another "quickly thought up crap" system(like AO )

The "rouge" will be almost exactly like the assasins in DAoC. So expect a insane stealthzerg in PvP zones .

But hopefully the rouge MUST use backstab to win, and hopefully they cant be powerleveled by necros, or else we will have fgs with dragonfangspamming monkeys camping milegates in wow also.

Downloaded a couple of the wow videos. The graphics are amazing, incredibly detailed. It's kind of cartoony but in a way that still looks very very cool.

Knowing Blizzard I'm sure it will be a good game. Only thing to see is if it will be good enough to take you away from DAOC.

Open beta is to start in last quarter 2003 so u wont see the game in store untill second half of 2004

PvP will be RvR kinda, Hord against Aliance, and it will come soooooo short of DAOC PvP/RvR like every other bosting game does. But give it a year after release or so and maby it will have daoc quality PvP/RvR

The PvE on the other hand is gona blow most stuff on the market away, IF u can stand the gfx there slightly retarded 4 year old kidbrother draw for em

hopefully they wont have /assist, no F8 and no completly invisible stealth (also no giant tags above people so being seen in stealth is still hard).
If stealth isnt a complete invisible, then there will be less DFspamming like monkeys .

You sure about the Hord against alliance part? because im pretty sure i heard otherwise like you could group with horde if you where aliance etc? and kill your own kind in the pvp zones and i areanas ofc

Wow will most likely be the greatest mmorpg ever, Daoc is not even the best one so far. Everquest was WAY WAY better then Daoc ever were.. Last two expansions kinda ruined EQ tho imo..

The Everquest PVE and itemization is awesome but the PVP isn't that great.. Daoc is kinda the opposite, PVE and itemization in Daoc is totally worthless but the PVP is great.. Hopefully WoW will be great in both PVE and PVP, im sure it will tho!

The main reason I think WoW will be great is because many of the designers of it are old EQ players or staff from it and we all know Blizzard never release any bad games.. Not that im a big fan of D2.. But alot of people still play it so it can't be that bad I guess ..

They were intending on having WoW out for this x-mass, but i guess it will be more like next x-mass hehe.

Still looks like a funky game, will give it a shot and see how it is anyway.

I only have ten minutes to write but this is my 2 cents why WoW will rock everything out on the market now.

First of all we got an experienced crew behind it. Some EQ staff and then blizzard staff. They have the experience from EQ which is considered the best MMORPG by most and also they know how to create multiple zones and make a great epic scenario etc. And then the blizzard crew is so far unbeatable in amount of top notch games. The worst game blizzard created imo is Dungeon Keeper 2 which is a marvelous game anyway.
Ok they havent done MMORPGs before, but on the other hand they got EQ staff for the baselines in an MMORPG and the blizzard staff for the cool ideas and costumer knowledge.

gives u the feeling running around like lvl 1 and exploring will be better than DAoC is at the moment.

The ability/class tables is also amazing, over 1000 spells and abilitys divided on 8 races and 9 classes gives me the feeling they have a great variety between a shaman and a shaman for example.

And the basics for creating a good pvp system is great. Good vs Evil, its classic sure but still it feels like orc/undead vs the classic human alliance cant be anything else than fun Hell its funnier than fighting paladins and mages atleast. DAoCs races are kinda dull imo, id rather slay an orc then a furbie.

Atm, the pvp system might be kinda odd, but in a year maybe less they will if people ask for it have a great system for it since there is lots to build on, and if i know blizzard right backstab and dualwield wont be overpowered cause they alrdy got a balance system for such things to use from WC3. There u can kill a mage but wont stand a chance against a warrior as assasin.
