still don't understand what the problem with several threads is and the two threads arn't even on the same subject so why on earth you merged them i've no idea.

one thread is about future enhancements to the game which may or may not be applied and the other is about a patch that has been applied today.

anyway, even if they were the same topic then surely you must be able to see that more threads = more impression of higher activity in the forum = actract more people because they think it's a bigger comunity than it is.

joining these two threads just appears to me that you have moderator tools and you at at a loss as to what to use them on but you want to show everyone you can moderate. why not just leave things as they are - it wasn't doing any harm and now has just confused BOTH threads :(

There was a thread about updates, both future and present. There was no need to let one perfectly valid thread die and start a new one, so they were combined.

How many times do I have to say this though. If you have a problem with anyone's moderating, take it up via PM and not here. This is the last time I'm going to say this.

That statement is quite frankly ridiculous. I keep an eye on these boards but Willl is the one moving things along at present (my PS playing is on hold) and he's doing a fine job.

Last I knew modding a pc game forum had as much pulling power as a plate of blancmange. Somehow it doesn't impress.

If you want to grumble ok but save the petty insults please. This board ticks along nicely, its not DAOC - Excalibur - Off-Topic for example ;)

The LLU is a piece of equipment (a chip or whatever) that you have to carry from the base that you want to take over to a base that has a link, to establish the link and finalize the hack.

I really like this idea, because it will significantly switch the focus of the game from indoor fights towards outdoor fights and vehicles. Currently 90% of the fighting in PS takes place indoors or nearby bases. Currently most vehicles are useless, except for quick transportation. In future tanks will become really important, as transport and as escort for the LLU chip carrier. And terrain will become much more important, as the LLU carrier has to cross terrain and can be ambushed by the enemy. And aircrafts will become more important, as they are the best weapon to intercept and enemy LLU carrier.

Plus ... the introduction of the LLU removes the annoying and boring 15 minutes waiting time when everybody sits around the CC doing nothing, waiting for the hack to complete. Now some people will escort the LLU carrier, while others will already move on to the next base. No more waiting time.

Bring on the snipers!!

This actually sounds quite good
