They're not that decent these fights, had expected more from the American/UK population.
Maybe it's because the sounds sucks, Jin rocked though.

But MC fight night in Denmark is just as good, if not better than what I saw.

If you like freestyle battle look for a guy called Eyedea he is mental and challenged any mainstream rapper by saying he would give them 15 minutes after his rap to come up with a comback :)

nah thats bs, the final of WRC is tight. im not arguing that mcs fight night is decent, but thats it. possessed predicts so hard and thesaurus and ILLmac had some serious flow going in some punchlines. watch this years MCFN final, and then WRC final and compare.

yeah, clearly, i guess kicking a ball around on a field isnt talent either, or anything if yoiu put the sentence like that.

the skills are shown in the rhyming, using their punchlines against them and keep the flow going without stumbling on words etc.
if you say its not talent i guess you can do it? i cant do it coz i see it as talent

I guess picking a few strings on a guitar and/or screaming down a mic spewing out moronic shite which sums up metal and all its derivatives is?

Note: i dont agree with the above, but nor am i as close minded as the quoted

just lol... I've shit better music.
your shit with $1.5 billion?
your shit the biggest selling music genre (broadly speaking rap and r n b seem to merge as "hip hop" nowdays tbh)?
no?

your the minorty, therefore it is your music taste that is shit if you want to go by averages ;)

its always amusing how the ignorant come out of the woodwork and claim everything they dont like is crap as soon as the word "rap" or "hip hop" is mentioned in the thread

I personally dont particularly like rap nowdays, but doesnt change the facts that rap stars make more money than most the people here will in their lifetime on one album

Edit: /me waits for Himse to post a rap since it takes no talent he should be able to do it np

If you belive rap is responsible for gun crime and violence then you must belive all murders ect the world relate to computer games. If not assuming one media influences people and another dose not is wierd. If you don't belive in double standards then no problems.

They are two completely different things, but given lessons i could learn to play a intrument not jimmi hendrix good but i could play. However i am not mentally sharp enoguh quick or talented enough to free style rap. Also i could never compose though be cause that takes major talent.

dont be such a simpleton,
i was oversimplifying something to justify a point like Himse did.

in addition to the above
Rapping is like singing,
freestyling on the other hand takes a hell of alot more talent..

The rap industry had a HUGE teenage fan-base.

Remove the swear words, the violence-filled videos etc. etc. and the popularity of rap/hip-hop would go down...

Gangsta Rap is a better name prolly.

And i loved all rap from the Cronic and doggy style up to the cronic 2001, restless and stillmatic

I still listen to the modern gangsta rap but now its more the beats i like than the lyrics.

Explain to me how you dont associate rap with violence and that whole street attitude shite... 99% of the people who listen to rap are wannabe ganstas with the attitude to go with it... they are rude... obnoxious and dress like they were born in an american souvenir shop.

Me and all my friends that listen to rap do not dress like that. But maybe we listen to rock too so we all dress like that Hawkins bloke?

All i do not like is your sterotype that you think because i like music i act like the people that make it and what you say about rap and then do not say about games makes you a hypocrit.

For all means say i do not like rap its just not my thing. But to say rap is shit you all dress like wannabes and mug grannies and shoot people is out of order

And maybe i do associate rap with guns and women dose that mean i go out and shoot people and take drugs? No

And here just for you some one rapping about how the negative sterotype you have hurts people

Yo, dude is 31, livin in his moms crib
Ex-convict, was paroled there after his long bid
Cornrows in his hair, still slingin, got a crew
They break his moms furniture, watchin Comicview
Got babies by different ladies high smokin L's
in the same spot he stood since, eighty-five well
When his stash slow, he be crazy
Say he by his moms, hit her on her payday
Junior high school dropout, teachers never cared
They was paid just to show up and leave, no one succeeds
So he moves with his peers, different blocks, different years
Sittin on, different benches like it's musical chairs
All his peoples moved on in life, he's on the corners at night
with young dudes it's them he wanna be like
It's sad but it's fun to him right? He never grew up
31 and can't give his youth, he's in his second childhood

Baby girl she's always talkin name droppin hangin late
Drinkin smokin hates her baby daddy, craves shoppin
E poppin Ecstasy takin, won't finish her education
Best friend she keeps changin, stuck with limitations
Lustin men, many hotels, Fendi Chanel
With nothin in her bank account frontin she do well
Her kid suffers he don't get that love he deserve
He the Sun, she the Earth, single mom, even worse
No job never stay workin, mad purty
Shorty they call her the brain surgeon
Time flyin she the same person, never matures
All her friends married doin well
She's in the streets yakkety yakkin like she was 12
Honey is twenty-seven, argues fights
Selfish in her own right, polite, guess she's in her second childhood

Here is more rap with a positive message its not hard to find if you listen

Nas said:
I know I can (I know I can)
Be what I wanna be (be what I wanna be)
If I work hard at it (If I work hard at it)
I'll be where I wanna be (I'll be where I wanna be)

[Nas]
Be, B-Boys and girls, listen up
You can be anything in the world, in God we trust
An architect, doctor, maybe an actress
But nothing comes easy it takes much practice
Like, I met a woman who's becoming a star
She was very beautiful, leaving people in awe
Singing songs, Lina Horn, but the younger version
Hung with the wrong person
Got her strung on that
Heroin, cocaine, sniffin up drugs all in her nose...
Coulda died, so young, now looks ugly and old
No fun cause now when she reaches for hugs people hold they breath
Cause she smells of corrosion and death
Watch the company you keep and the crowd you bring
Cause they came to do drugs and you came to sing
So if you gonna be the best, I'ma tell you how,
Put your hands in the air, and take a vow

[Chorus - 2x (Nas and Kids)]
I know I can (I know I can)
Be what I wanna be (be what I wanna be)
If I work hard at it (If I work hard at it)
I'll be where I wanna be (I'll be where I wanna be)

[Nas]
Be, B-Boys and girls, listen again
This is for grown looking girls who's only ten
The ones who watch videos and do what they see
As cute as can be, up in the club with fake ID
Careful, 'fore you meet a man with HIV
You can host the TV like Oprah Winfrey
Whatever you decide, be careful, some men be
Rapists, so act your age, don't pretend to be
Older than you are, give yourself time to grow
You thinking he can give you wealth, but so
Young boys, you can use a lot of help, you know
You thinkin life's all about smokin weed and ice
You don't wanna be my age and can't read and write
Begging different women for a place to sleep at night
Smart boys turn to men and do whatever they wish
If you believe you can achieve, then say it like this

[Chorus]

[Nas]
Be, be, 'fore we came to this country
We were kings and queens, never porch monkeys
There was empires in Africa called Kush
Timbuktu, where every race came to get books
To learn from black teachers who taught Greeks and Romans
Asian Arabs and gave them gold when
Gold was converted to money it all changed
Money then became empowerment for Europeans
The Persian military invaded
They heard about the gold, the teachings, and everything sacred
Africa was almost robbed naked
Slavery was money, so they began making slave ships
Egypt was the place that Alexander the Great went
He was so shocked at the mountains with black faces
Shot up they nose to impose what basically
Still goes on today, you see?
If the truth is told, the youth can grow
Then learn to survive until they gain control
Nobody says you have to be gangstas, hoes
Read more learn more, change the globe
Ghetto children, do your thing
Hold your head up, little man, you're a king
Young Princess when you get your wedding ring
Your man is saying "She's my queen"

[Chorus]

Save the music y'all, save the music y'all
Save the music y'all, save the music y'all
Save the music
