what's the world record for staying awake the longest? my parents are going on holiday for 2 week along with my sister and they're leaving me home alone for 2 week :-o
i've booked the time off my part time job and im going to try and beat the world record for staying awake! (seriously) i've still got college yeah but no-one notices if im there anyway! so umm

what's the record

come to think of it i've never actually kept awake longer than 24 hours in my life, ever. half my life spent sleeping so far, seems like such a waste. i shall begin my challenge on saturday night. wish me luck !

I have only beeb able too say awake for 45 hours then i fell asleap playing unreal tournamet : ))) (not 2003) and i dint drink any coffie.

I did +72 hours a couple of times while working behind a bar and drinking.

Caffeine causes a rush, like all drugs it has a plus and a down side; after you feel moderately awake for a few minutes, you will feel worse than before.

Most I've managed is just over 2 days.
Oh and don't stay awake for over 24 hours and do an exam = Not good.

Pfft. I find that too. If I'm awake at about 5am (usually) I get really bad munchies.

longest i have ever managed is 3 days, then just sooooo needed my bed, sat dormant on comp, smoked lots...drank a bit.

By 3rd night i was getting flashy purple and red flickers in the corner of my eyes which was a bit wierd.

if going for more than 3 days, prepare to not leave spot except for toilet and be willing to enter a peculiar vegative state of hallucination.

hah! did 45 hrs before an exam, fell asleep for 30mins but a girlfriend woke me up. went pretty well, think i got a C or sumt.

its all about ups and downs, I had a "down" some hours after the exam while watching UFC at a mates, he saw me fall asleep and threw a pillow in my face as hard as he could, I didnt feel a thing.. just woke up and went, wtf just happened

3 days as well ( LAN-party ).

Needless to say, the final in Starcraft didn't go too well. Driving home afterwards was pretty interesting too

Longest I've stayed awake is about 5 days. Went on holiday to Australia and the jet lag was insane, so I just stayed up through the nights.
