He is a dick with a bad attitude, like most footballers. Don't expect any class from them and you won't be disappointed.

I dont really expect any class from any of them but comments like "this was their world cup final" really piss me off.

I know Sunderland dont have the best players but ive met alot of them and they are nothing like these arrogant arseholes we have representing our country.

I used to go to this nightclub where the Middlesborough players went to back in the 90s and they were all great tbh , was speaking to Emerson through his interpreter and he asked who do you support and i told him Sunderland , about 5 minutes later the barmen came over to our table with 10 drinks and said Emerson sent these over for your freinds , cant imagine that happening today.

Bin Heskey, stick him on a rowing boat and sink it.

Heskey was a million times better than Rooney. Just because players maybe on the books of "big clubs" shouldn't make them untouchable. Heskey didn't have the best of games, certainly not as good as he was against the USA, but he still did some good stuff.

Lampard and Rooney may as well have not been on the pitch. And Defoe and Crouch were invisible when they came on.

Me too, it was a lowlife comment from a lowlife person. Pure deflection too, make Algeria look like they played out of their skins when infact they were fucking awful as well.

Get off your bloody villa high-horse, neither heskey or anyone on that pitch did anything at all worthy of praise. Were drew 0-0 against algeria ffs. Non of the 11 (possibly ignore james) deserve to play the final game at all, simple as!

Sorry, it might stick in my throat but Ashley Cole was class today. I wouldn't piss on any of the others if they were on fire tonight though, Rooney included and I love the fella but enough is enough.

A fucking disgrace, every last one of them.

I tell you what is a disgrace, the training methods that are applied in academies up and down the country. Englands off the ball movement is nothing short of embarassing. I wont even touch on the technique of english footballers. At times, Algeria passed the ball about in a way that england could only dream of.

Guile, bravery and physicality will only get you so far. Hoofing the ball up to a useless lump of a centre forward and hoping he doesnt fall over before the ball reaches him is play ground stuff

Englands only saving grace is that Team usa were incorrectly denied a winning goal. If that was given, the final game would have been a must win game.

It's a must win game anyways, but who cares, we deserve to heading home, we've shown as much ambition to do so as to progress in this tournament.

I actually like the fact that rooney spoke out like he did... you support them through good and bad, turning on the players will do nothing.

Be funny if the players just go "fuck it, if you dont think we good enough we wont play".

You talk about pay... they do not get paid much at all for playing for england.. it a very very small sum. They do it because they want to play for the country.

We played shit, the players will know that and no need to turn on them because of it.. they got us there so dont forget that, they could have stayed at home like all the other UK sides.

So in short, we were fucking awful but no need to boo your own team for doing poor

i think every england fan is entitled to have a comment, and every fan that went to watch the game live is very much in the right to boo (after spening xx amount getting there/tickets etc)

While they may not get paid much, they still do (and then theres the sponsorship they get)

the problem is, non of them looking like they gave a shit throughout the 93mins, i noticed the other day, 11 of the 23 players picked were in 06 sqaud and 10 were in 04 squad, they failed both of them attempts surely its about time we moved onto the next round of english footballers?

There a few players that should get a change such as Ashley Young. But the pickings are slim.

What we need is a manager that is more fluid and willing to change.. you need to play a system that fits the team, not put players into positions you dont get the best out of them with just so you can play a specific system and keep the big names in.

They clearly couldn't give a shit whether we win or lose so why should we cheer them on? Half of them don't deserve to wear an England shirt the way they played tonight. I feel sorry for the fans who have paid out thousands and thousands of pounds to go and watch them play in SA only to see them totally outclassed by a conference standard team and not just in ability but in hunger to win. It's ok for them on 100k a week to fuck about doing jack shit to win, just an other page in Hello magazine.
If they don't produce the goods on Wednesday the whole lot of them should be dropped from the squad and be replaced with championship players, at least they would play with heart.

England isn't about winning its about the desire to win, backs to the wall and giving it your all, I haven't seen that since 98. I don't mind losing if we give it the best we can, that shower of piss just don't care.

Loyal support, paying thousands and thousands to get to SA only for them to put on a half-arsed performance.

The useless tit can go fuck himself, hope he bangs another gran and gets aids. Karma.

Gotta see this is the most enraged i've been about an England match ever. Made me release what a blessing Euro 2008 was without us.

What we need is a manager with some bollocks who will field players who have pride in the jersey, who will put some effort in, even if they're not the best technical players in the world.

Rooney and Lampard should be on the next plane out of South Africa, and so should the idea that players from "big clubs" are untouchable.

Bit of a wall of text, but would like to expand on what I wrote last night

England's approach to football as a whole is the problem. It is never 'why not fix the problem to stop it happening again?' it is always 'get rid of the problem, forget about it', like Robert Green. Don't ask why is he making the mistakes, don't ask why Carson made those mistakes years ago, just drop them, it's much easier that way.

I mean, is it any wonder why England struggle so much when They are relying on a player like Frank Lampard in a 4-4-2? A makeshift central midfielder who clearly isn't up to the job. What does Capello actually expect Frank to do? Win the ball back? Create chances? Dictate play ala Xavi? Spray passes around the field and control from deep ala Alonso? Frank does none of these things. Frank Lampard's game is based around the entire way Chelsea play, he plays alongside a big target man striker, he has a midfield and defence behind him that swings the ball from flank to flank, probing space before putting it in for players like Drogba and Anelka, if the cross happens to reach the edge of the box, Frank is there to score, but Frank doesn't pull the strings from deep, so why is Capello trying to get him to do so?

England need to ask themselves 'why don't we have a player like Xavi?' Whilst Spain have Alonso, Xavi, Fabregas, Iniesta and many more plying their trade in la liga. I don't accept that players like Xavi are just naturally gifted, he's a pint sized midfielder with limited athletic ability, but he's been coached and responded to coaching in such a way that has made him world class. Obviously, some of it is natural, his ability to understand the game and make correct decisions isn't that of an ordinary footballer, but England don't have a player who can come close to doing what he does. Only Paul Scholes springs to mind of recent memory, but he's considered one of our greatest midfielders ever, 'a once in a lifetime player', whilst I feel England should be rolling these players off of conveyor belts given the facilities and funding we have available.

It's pretty simple, until grass roots coaching improves, until it's nationally accepted that England will not progress at all as a nation if they don't accept that the philosophies of playing the modern game are completely wrong. England could have Mourinho, Guardiola, Fergie or Wenger, neither coach would succeed if they are given the current pool of players to select from, simply because they are a decade behind what countries like Spain, Argentina and France are producing. Why spend £800m on wembley when the money would have been better spent on some sort of national academy?
