wow 545 complaints from about 16 million viewers, fucking bbc mongs

Just because a tiny proportion actually got off thier arses and complained doesn't make it any less of an issue. The horns are fucking spoiling the games for TV viewers, I would bet my house that viewing figures are dropping off as more and more people get frustrated. Certainly I know that I watched the last 3 games with the sound turned off, that racket is migrane inducing. Thank fuck it wasn't going on while I was in Durban watching the Sharks a few years ago, I could not have coped with that for the 3 hours I was in the stadium.

I pay no attention to the horns at all. I watch the football match and talk with my buddies while I do it.

It's no more annoying than a subtitled movie, after about 5 minutes you forget your reading/hearing it.

Everyone is different, for me it is ruining the experience. I know I am not alone in that regard. Ofc I am happy that others can get through it but I don't think it adds a thing to the atmosphere infact I think it drowns out the singing and bands. It is like being stuck next to a railway all fucking day with trains flying past and blowing thier horns. :p

Like I said before: why bring the WC to this country if we don´t like the way they´re watching football? Yes, it´s annoying as fuck, but that´s how it is down there. Did you ever hear african people complain about the atmosphere in our stadiums (and even worse: blaming their bad play on that)?
It´s the typical european chaivinism to go "oh, but football needs the singing and cheering crowd, so when we´re coming to your country, you need to change your habits."

How can they even watch the game if they have a fucking horn stuck to thier face for 90 mins? :p It is tribal tbh, give the fuckers drums instead! :p

Thats exactly what i think, why the fuck organize this tournament outside Europe??

FFS, not like its any different than the Eurocup with the addition of Brasil and Argentina... :flame:

I haven't decided yet if the horns are ruining it or if it's the teams, but this is a really bad world cup. I enjoyed the world twenty20 far more. Hope it gets better.

Apparently they used to do singing and dancing - this annoying wasp horn thing is some new fad. Maybe South Americans should do their own thing and throw 700 flares onto the pitch?

Fkoff, best match so far. Ivory Coast has serious potential and Ronaldo is a proper fag. Good player perhaps, but a shit attitude. I seriously hope we get to play against Portugal again and that Boulahrouz will be playing again. Perhaps he can finish the job he started last time.

You really think a 0-0 with Ronaldo tossing himself all over the grass and Drogba starting on the bench is exciting?

No wonder Americans think the sport is boring!

the horns only came into the "culture of football" a few years ago and are seriously annoying, i normally try to watch every world cup game but frankly the vuvuzelas are putting me off enough that im only watching the games i actually care about.

Yeah I do and what the Americans think about sport is besides the point. Interrupting a game for 10 min every 3 minutes for a commercial isnt exactly my cup of tea. It's about the sport not the fking cash. Nor do they know anything about contact sports (basketball, baseball, american football? lol?) Ill grand ice hockey, but then again it's hardly "their" game and they will make some free fight out of it just for the entertainment, which has yet again nothing todo with the sport.

The game whas flowing nicely, certainly for the first halve and the last part. It's good to see other players making the game instead of everyones favourite playboy.

It's because there aren't any easy opponents at World cups anymore, and all the big countries are shit scared of losing the first match as it would put them under massive pressure to get out of the group so everyone plays cagey in the first match.

hopefully will improve after we've got them out the way and teams starting playing.

Messi has shown fkall.

Of course, people will only say hes a good game if he scored 20 wondergoals. The facts are, he was head and shoulders the best player in that game and on games so far has stood out the most. Of course things can change over the next few games.

"A vociferous Ellis Park crowd showed their appreciation for the entertainment on show, particularly that provided by Argentine forward Lionel Messi, who was the standout performer, creating opportunities for others and on a number of occasions drawing superb saves from impressive Super Eagles keeper Vincent Enyeama."

Yeah, shown fckall

Owke, once your head gets out of the "I love Messi cloud" let's talk. That game wasnt all that great anyway, so meh.

wtf? You really liked the 0-0 game, but because Messi hasn't scored he hasn't shown anything? He came close several times and controlled the Argentinian(?!) attack very well

No not at all. It's just that that game wasnt too great, nor whas Nigeria any of an opponent. Making you the standout performer isnt saying anything at all. If they would be playing Monaco, it would prolly be the same (or you'd be saying the same).
