Gawd.

Ever since I saw "Small Time Crooks" I'm convinced that Woody Allen is one of the best writer/directors ever.

If you haven't yet, go and see "Annie Hall", "Sleeper", "Manhattan", "Crimes And Misdemeanors" and "Hannah And Her Sisters".

"Annie Hall" being the best, they're all hilarious. Subtle humour and sharp and witty dialogs make these films so so much better than the general hollywood junk we usually get.

I cannae express my love!

Any1 else a Woody Allen fan?

He annoys me so much I can't get into his films....

He's a dirty old man who uses his films to have beautiful young women chasing after him as if he is a sex god........

That and his mannerisms annoy me too...

Woody Allen's humour is superb. Absolutely deadpan. I love the way he can slip puns and wordplay into sentences in a way that's so subtle and naturalistic. I also thoroughly enjoy his "mannerisms", the 'umm'ing and stuttering, as it's something I ALWAYS miss from films. He seems to portray this anxious, depressed, thin nerd who happens, accidentally and unintentionally, to be incredibly witty.
