Hey, Sisters of Battle cutey(?) why r u trying to create a women only clan? As far as i can see there is no need for gender to make any difference in q2. Unless u believe it does. After all is very rare for clan member to actually meet up, so whats the point! If u could explain that to us simple men (and perplex). We would all love to hear your logical rationale.....

Q2 player it is nice to have a clan made up of women only, if only to help each other with playing skills. ie r.j. configs, teamplay ..... As for me forming the Sisters of Battle, they have been an established Lineone Clan for well over a year, and we have been playing in the UKQ2a, league, ( not for a while as our numbers are a bit small) hence the initial posting looking to recruit new members. It is not and has never been Cutey

I can see your point (barely) but I think u'll find that the traits you are looking for are not exclusively feminine.
I think there has been a noticeable increase in racist comment on servers however I don't think this should mean an increase in gender specific clans. Perhaps I'm making too much out of this. Its just that I feel that online gaming is a level playing field and I wouldn't like to see any form of segregation.

If you want I'll help you with playing skills, and I’m sure so would most players. So, good luck with the clan. Btw what does QT stand for then?

Ok, time for me to make a serious contribution to this thread. *bites lip and tries his hardest to crack as few wise cracks as possible*

I can fully understand QT's desire to start an all female clan. I also understand that *some* women feel intimidated at times by the actions and behaviour of *some* of their male colleagues. Sexist, and lecherous comments. How many female gamers do you see bleeting about their extreme skillz and l33+n355?? Not many. They seem to be in the "sport" for the fun element, which alot of the males seem to have forgotten about, and that have been sucked into the "i'm better than j00, thus you are scum" attitude.

On the other hand, their are some serious ethical issues with this attitude towards online gaming that is appearing, and is being condoned and adopted by QT. You are effectivly denying people the chance of trialling, and possibly joining your clan because of the contents of their boxer shorts (or in the case of some of the communities saddo's, Y-Fronts. cue billox

). This is the exact kind of sexism that women have been fighting against for well over a century now. Yet you feel it acceptable to introduce the female equivalent of sexism into our community?

Also, what happens if this kind of approach is allowed to grow? Will we see clans called [KKK]? White only clans? All black clans? Homo Bashers Clan? I know this is taking it to extremes, but extremes happen sometimes, and extremes are the defining boundaries of any ideology. It sets the boundary of how far something can be taken in either direction. And as an extreme fits WITHIN the boundaries of reality, it has a distinct possibility of occuring. (especially with the attitudes of a few members of our community which I won't mention here, but are VERY openly rascist)

We all need to play TOGETHER. I fear that such sayings as "we're playing that all female clan tonite in UKCCL. Let's railrape them bitches" and "suck my rocket whore" will become more and more frequently used in MALICE as you try to segregrate yourselves from the males of the community. Don't blame us if/when it blows up in your face.
