Okay, some clarifications.

The second picture is not an "after", just the most recent and with a lame excuse to post another kitten pic.

The name "Bob" was decided long before she was a twinkle in the eye of the tomcat next door. We had to decide very early on which one of the four results was going to stay, and it's hard to tell at that age, you can say "Bobbie" if it makes you feel better.

The "violent ritual process" that turns kittens into cats is called "getting older", you may have experienced it yourself, if you have please tell me about it.

Bob may be coming up to six months old, but she is still a kitten at heart and very fluffy and cute, albeit now with a row of stitches up her tummy, rough justice really when I look at the row of scratches up my arms and legs.

Sending loved ones you are responsible for into operations is very distressing, on a greater scale my little son has already had two operations requiring general anesthetic, I can honestly say that holding him tight as the gas is administered is one of the most soul-destroying moments ever, so when it came to little Bob I was a bit sanitized.
