Well it appears that jonty who created weebl and bob has just done the new anchor spreadable adverts.

You can see what is essentially weebl and bob in cow outfits here:

It doesn't really work when it's done quickly. What made Weebl and Bob funny that it aws insanely slow. I never paid that much attention to them, but the one where decide that Steak pie is the best kind of pie was pretty funny, and a good example of why Weebl and Bob can't work properly in an enviroment such as a comercial, where there's only limited time.

Weeble and Bob has always been patchy at best, so I'm not hugely suprised that they aren't funny. Mind, the "Insults Game" in the current cartoon [fishing] was dead good (Bob: "Plastic Vicar!").

Weebl and Bob were/are crap...and only really have a small cult following

And therefore the Anchor advert is'nt much good either.

Totally agree. The first two cartoons have those frustratingly long pauses between dialogue, which made Weebl and Bob a bit funny.

Now they don't have that at all, so its just another standard internet toon.

It seems to be the current trend to take shit, unfunny internet cartoons and make them in to adverts :/
