Ahh, Install Time™. A bizarre concept of 'time' created through a complex series of formulae. The end result consistently succeeds in having no bearing on 'real time' and serves to confuse and frustrate. Linked closely with the concept of Percent Complete™.

No problemo! They're all still on the old hd, so I just install, patch, drag & drop - no worries, right?

Um, at this point I could do with a :fingerscrossed: smilie...

Hurrah! Despite what a large number of grey-toolbarred 2K fanbwoi's say, XP is definitely the way forward.

Congratulations, son...

Yep - I thought I'd be setting right back to Classic stylie desktop look, but those svelte curves are kinda growing on meh...

If only I could change the colours - silver's quite nice, but I'd prefer something a little bluer...

Style XP is supposed to be the daddy of XP 'theming' but I personally find that any one of the three default ones sit well with all my desktop images.

WindowBlinds is the Microsoft-approved XP-skinning tool, but its 'orses fer courses, innit?

Ok, I'm a convert! As of tonite, XP officially r0x0rs!!!

Installed jk2, pld 1st time online tonite, thought I'd give it a whirl...

I thought I'd stretch it a bit & upped my res & detail settings - and it's STILL bloody faster & smooother than it was under 98SE!!!

I'll muck around with the settings another night, I'm off to bed now as I have to be up crack of sparrows to go get Disco Dormouse & friend from teh airport!

:clap:da Mousie r returning!
