Windows 7 Windows Firewall

Hi, so for every day browsing general domestic use. Does windows firewall do the trick?

Or do i need to be looking for an all round package with included anti virus?

Or settle for windows firewall & windows defender etc?

Wow this issue is finding its way into every thread here recently.

Windows firewall is great, free and works. Microsoft security essentials is a free, lightweight virus scanner that works.

MS are finally getting things right.

grab it from the Security Essentials webby and install it.

Vista/7 will come with defender as standard but not SE. Prob something to do with monopoly and stuff.

I do AVG free and have a firewall on my router that hasn't let a trojan through in the 5 years I've been using it, so....

...but I do whack windows firewall on all my family's PC's....

AVG is no better than the MS solution, it's now far too bloated.
