Can we expect a cheaper windows without any of the above?

Hardly, if all of those apps are free to begin with.

Nope you can still get them with Win2K, my last PC proved that beyond a shadow of a doubt.

GG AMD :)

Hmm, i had yet to recieve a BSoD while on Win2000, in all the months (and Computers) that ive used it..

But, as i said in the Hardware Forum, ever since i installed SP3, every .avi i play (Movie) will only play as sound, and not as a Movie type :(

It wont play in Media Player or Real One Player.

Very strange :(

XP SP1 beta gave me a few problems :/ would definately wait for the final if you're that way inclined. I prefer 2k :p

Well, it installed okay on my laptop (P3 500 when battery powered / 650 on AC).

On battery power, I never timed it's boot up time before but with SP3 on there it takes around 5 and a half minutes until the PC responds.

I guess it's not really benefitted me that much at all yet. We'll see how it is once I start using it for work tomorrow...after my two week break. Ack. Ah well, gotta earn my money somehow.
