G, while you're entitled to your opinion, which I respect, please don't make loosely disguised personal digs at me because my opinions differ from your own.
No personal digs at all, my dig is more at the perpetrated myth you posted; no that you're overweight. By all means, if you're happy then continue as you are and don't let anyone tell you otherwise; but as I stated I'm tired of defending those that play the excuse cards.
Nath, I agree it is in general by no means an easy road, I can't even shift another stone; but the mechanics of understanding why and what to do about it are reasonably straightforward enough I thought? Most of the effort is a mental change, to enable the physical change; and embracing the (in my opinion) simple effort to try a low GI diet, that made me feel fuller for longer and allowed my own body to make it easier for me by reducing my desire to snack on bad food. Eventually, macdonalds tasted far too salty and fatty, fish suppers were too greasy and chinese takeaway made me feel too bloated.
Still love Indian though...
