btwn, some studies have shown that in some McDonalds the toilet water is cleaner then the water they make ice from.. Thats one of the many reasons why i do not eat at McDonalds

not quite so.

the settigns when they press the coke button fill it up to the 500ml line which you pay for (for example when u buy a medium drink). however the cups are like 600ml, thus putting ice in fills it to the very brimm rather than than leaving it a few centremetres out.

thus when u complain that its not full, its what you paid for, just the cup is bigger to compensate ice.

dunno how they achieve it but if you dont like using straws the ice seems to WANT to be against your lips.

the way the cups are filled is by using a pre set button, l, xl etc.

the cup is bigger than the volume of coke that gets dispensed. all the ice does is take up the extra volume left in the cup but the amount of coke remains the same.

McD's ice is vile, the water the cubes are made from is often very dodgy. I always get a sore throat after drinking thier drinks with ice in and I usually end up with a case of runny bum as well.

Complaining over loosing a bit of a soft drink is pointless anyhow, They charge you £1.20+ for a drink thats got a total cost of around 7p.

Anyhow the reason why pubs and fast food places put ice in

They have to put ice in your drink as it's a requirement of the contract with Coca Cola / schweps. If a drink goes over 4 degree's C it goes flat alot faster. So the Ice is there to keep it fizzy.
