if mids did a rr on hib i can garuntee the albs would be having a pop at them to.
Likewise if hib did a rr on mid, albs would be there to try for a relic too.
Theres 3 realms for a reason.. its common sence to attack someone while they are otherwise engaged.

I personally dont care about the relics anymore, nor about doing prime time raids. It has become pretty obvious regardless when you raid someone is going to do a AC to get them back (not mentioning certain names and guilds for a reason).
Its a 24/7 game, and certain members of the community are more than happy to illustrate it, get over it and carry on.
I would like Mythic to implement a system where the level of relic guards are based on the number of x realm online at the time to prevent AC raids, but i doubt a change as involved as this will ever happen (i suggested it 1 1/2 yrs ago, and in the rescent polls) so i hope the insomiacs enjoy their pve, cus there is nothing anyone can do about it

If you look at the comments so far, and then at the sigs of the respective posters to identify their realms, then having a quick look at the poll you can only conclude one thing.
'Wow the poll is right, albs do really believe in AC raids.'

I'm not saying it should be changed, but as a personal reference I prefer primetime raids where it does actually take some organisation and planning, PvE'ing a keep in the middle of a night is not what I play this game for.

It's amazing how addictive things can get when a bunch of pixels can make you change your sleeping hours in such a hazardous way. If people really bother to waste their rl by doing this let them have it, we'll try to retake things the way we feel it's right.
With the alb current relic bonuses and larger population I wouldn't be surprised if we once more see a combined hib and mid assault in the near future.

i think its funny, all realm's do socalled "ac raid's" and all realm's whine about it. I would personaly love to see more arranged raid's and love big fight's, but imho (being and alb) bain/WL's/ani's seem's to ruin all my fun, without even haveing a chance... it's just so much easy'r to defend with low number's when u have those kind of char's that dont need los to attack other ppl, and do inst dmg. if u wanna take a keep with those char's u either need a supprice attack or a huge number advantage.

There´s no difference between playing in the afternoon or in the night, it´s still a game and we/you decide to spend some of your lifespan playing it. If people want to play at those hours, then let them. Playing from 5-10 PM, then going to bed doesn´t make you socially superior, not is it a sign of maturity. It´s just a different lifestyle. And no, I wasn´t there and I`d never stay up that late.
However, what´s REALLY amazing is, that all the so called mature players with a solid lifestyle and who´re going to bed at 10PM because they have to work tomorrow are complaining here, whining and moaning like a bunch of bainshees on a tower raid... all this over some pixels, which have changed at a time when they weren´t even online.

Example:
Take Custodia Malacitana "they" all 16 or so of them had fun taking two relics in 2 hours off the hibs at 5 am, no hibs defended thus the hibs were deprived an aspect of the game.

Then take the last "Hibguard" raid at PrimeTime Hib/Mid/Alb all enjoying the game, I'd estimate around 300 players for 4-6 hours had fun in the Frontiers.

Raiding 2-12 am cheapens relics, the fun is held by only a minority, what's the point of taking time to organise a large scale Relic Raid involving 150 people, when 32 pinch the relic you wanted to take at 7am?

It's also getting worse, realms can't even be bothered to take Keeps at prime time, again depriving many many players of an opportunity to defend. An example being the current Blendrake port, taken at 8.20 am (GMT). I haven’t checked the XML thoroughly but I believe not one single keep has fallen in prime time in the last week (feel free to correct me).

If you take siege out of the game DAoC suddenly becomes boring, and Grave Yard raiding hasn't very much to offer the “whole” DAoC community. Perhaps I am just not as a selfish person as most players.

Mate, my post wasn´t directed at the thread generally. I was just refering to Solari, who basically gave late night playing a "immature" connotation (as in: look, they´re so addicted to a game that they...). That´s what I wanted to argue against.

I see the problem, but on the other hand, nothing stops the peak time players from taking the relics back in the epic way... just like it´s supposed to be. They´re not missing out anything. It doesn´t weaken the value of relics either because relics are supposed to change hands once in a while, one way or the other.

At the end of the day, it all boils down to the good old dilemma: you can´t feed the needs of everyone. Whatever you do to avoid workarounds, you´ll always step on the toes of some people... and those peple are paying the same subs as the rest. I think it´s time to skip the old relic system and design some new goald so achieve and make large scale RvR worth playing again. If anything, then that´s a solution to the problem. Making relics untouchable at non-peak hours isn´t.

albs ow me a laptop, a new keyboard, you ow me 2-3 snus boxes, everything has been throwed in the wall, I need a new table aswell after I get zerged of you, I punch it so hard till my fists are bleeding, I'am yelling bad words, even when my window is open, I look at albs as brainless from the mid side of view, I know you are all nice ppl, I know that. actully it is funny

got a story from a rvr grp in mid a long time ago in OF, and there was this APK zerg(WE MUST DEFEND APK) that sometimes did move to AMG if they were about 100 ppl, so this happens, me and lokir, kettil, and some others, came running over that hill from sb trees, and the alb zerg were halfways to AMG, albs were running with trollspeed because the last grp did not have any speed, here is the funny part on ventrilo, aaahh shit kettil let's run back we can't handle this zerg... and there was a guy in the zerg, started to yell things, prolly MIDS INC MIDS INC! (ventrilo) god we are so dead now, and it was like a human running into a zerg of sheeps, you know when sheeps are scared, they are maybe 50, and you walk into them they run away.
everything started to be a chaos at that field, and those that had speed ran like headless chickens back to the APK, and there was some ppl running everywhere, (ventrilo) whats with them? I asked, (ventrilo) lokir: oh look there is an alb running around in circles! poor alb:< this was really funny because when I was a kid I used to scare sheep's and stuff If I saw them around, there was this LARGE gate and there was about 20sheeps prolly, I scared the crap out of them and every sheep there was almost, did run trough this gate, and there was this one actully running into the fence as fast as he could, he tryed running into the fence many times aswell. if you were a mid in this grp, damn you would laugh so much, that made my day, just think about how funny that would be, if you compare albs to sheeps.

I think you misread my post to be honest... It's not a moan of AC raids, it's not even blaming people for pushing their sleep hours, it's simply a statement of how I see things.

I'll summarise for you;
- If people choose to capture relics at 5am it's their life and their call.
- We (opposing realms.) will be sure to attempt to recapture what was lost the way we think it should be done, whenever it's a large scale 'epic' battle during primetime or our pve crew at 6am.

As for the moaning, look inwards before you speak up.

Agree, I prefer prime time raids but still thinks that players that play during the night should be able to take keeps. But I agree something is wrong if so much keeptaking happens when so few are online. (am an alb)

PvEing keeps and stuff middle of night isnt hard at all, so I guess it suits most albs. It just is the way it is.

Albs are cowards and weak, it is just a simple fact. We've seen it a million times before so this isnt exactly news, I agree its kinda sad but it is in their right to play the game that way if they wish to do so. Zerg and offhourraids sucks but it seem that part of the game is taking more and more ground every day, be lame and win.

I still blame it 100% on Mythic. For releasing stupid classes like warlocks and not fixing albions groupbuild to easen it up for the poor bastards.

Animists+bains+warcocks+BDs+Keep=no fun for albs, trust me, ive tried that part out enough to know it just aint fun at all so I can understand them for doing silly things like they do. (zerging and offhourraids that is.. stealthzergers are still just plain retards since they have no real reason but retardness to zerg)
