Same here... no point really in playing until the real thing is released. Standing in domnan with ze germans trying to pick up keys/get stuff between the 30s lagspikes isn't my idea of fun

to play you need an active sub? seeing as 1 of them costs 8 quid a month i dont see how thats free

It's a shame. Of course it's a marketing exercise just as all the other Open Beta Tests. Don't be hypocrite.
It's no wonder if it happens when your main competitor,WoW, is going to begin its Open Beta Test. You know, MMORPGs customers aren't as stupid as GOA may think. We aren't all 12 year old kids. It's not like that you will keep your 2-year old customers.

If you're not a 12 year old kid, why are you coming across with all this conspiracy theory crap?

They NEED to test the server with a high load. Hence the need for an open beta. It's not a marketing excercise, it's an essential technical one.

And as for those people who think it should have been open to 3500... if you'd been in Gorre earlier in the frontiers, you'd know why 1500 is a sensible limit. Every man and his buffbot is in the same zone.

it is possible to get in but from what i can gather the SI part of the game is down so no necros/animists/bds/vw/reavers/etc

however major problem is 10s lag but then gorre isnt a top of the range server computer i asume it will be a lot better in final release.

You pay for the live servers not the test server... Access to it is a bonus they don;t have to give you so it's "free" in that sense.
