We all know them , the chars u got on your account that u never log on. Why did i ever make my thane i asked myself for the 99999th time today, coz in beta playing my lvl 11 zerk i saw a thane mjöllnir whole tomte camp in svealand and i went like omfg im gonna roll such pwn char.

Today duact is my potionbot ;(

I wanted a troll thane, but luckly so did my RL m8 that started playing at the same time, so i rolled a skald without having any knowledge about what class it was. Didnt know they had speed osv :D But today im ohhh so very happy my m8 rolled a thane instead of me.

I started as a ice wizz (wasnt manny at that time) but after a trip to BG i rolled a zerk (they was good at that time) but he never got longer then 24 befor i started my skald who would be my first lvl 50 charr (he was gimp too...OMG) so i started a inf and im happy with that :)

Kinda play all my chars atm, except my SB. A bit stuck in bg1 :-P
Else i like all my chars...don't see any as gimps. Just a matter of chainging your playstyle ^^

Rolled my Thane because i assumed being a Midgard legend, he would be the best type to play.

He is great in PvE, but suxxors in RvR, but fun to play all the same. All he ever needed was a group ability to make him truely viable. Get with it Mythic!

I rolled a big, pale, fat Finn about 30 yrs ago (well actually my mama rolled it, but I took total control over it eventually). Discovered 16 yrs ago that the incredible amount of STR i specced is perfect for storing huge amounts of potions in.. but the 24 hour ress illness is a sad side effect of that. In general it is gimped, no charisma, no intelligence, very little empathy... and ändpuffs have a huge range...

i rolled my SB as a kobold because kobold seemed to look cool. i added +10 dex at creation because mythic said it would be useful. i added +10 qui also for the same reason.
i specced him SZ because that was uber. then i got him to 50 because he was so close and i wanted him at 50. now i havent logged him in for weeks.

Leveled my savage because I unfortuantly made it lgm and didn't have the heart to delete it...!

I rolled a thane because I wanted to as I usually play casters in games but wanted to melee too, midgerd was the only realm for me and me and my mates all rolled exe midgard to be viking warriors!

Tried alts, but none are as fun as my thane, sure we're sub par RvR, and it can be frustrating, but I enjoy playing him, would love some real group getting love, but I run with a good guild who aren't into wtfpwning!!!! with fotm groups we just like to run out and have fun.. Fun, remember that ;)

I read through the classes and thought 'wow, thanes are just the coolest' I imagined albs running from my hammers of mass destruction. I thought this is a class that could be useful in any situation. Every group, every guild will want me to join. That drove me on as I got up early to get into malmo groups. After much hard work I finally reached level 50, I stepped out onto the grass that is MTK emain and announced "Fatbob level 50 thane looking for group"

a few hours later I thought... "OH S*#T"

Well, i met this Troll in Jordheim day 1 in Midgard..
I asked for the way to Vasudheim, and he told me.. I asked for 5s, and i got 10g(!), then we started chatting - and i found out he was from Norway to.. And i was just a lvl 3-4 viking at that time, what did i know about choosing a path to follow? Well, he asked me what i was gonna choose and i said: "I DUNNO!" And then i asked what he was, and yup he was a Thane.. And i thougt! Cool, they must rock - and i rolled one..:|

First I made my skald.. skald is a o.k char imo

Then I rolled supp. RM.. jesus christ! midgard don't even use them anymore

So I rolled a shaman, thats an o.k char too, a bit boring to play imo!

Stealthwar! hell yeah! .. so I rolled a shadowblade, then I met albions "Dragonfang" style............. kk..

And now I am semi-retired, thinking about to go try out hib.

Started out with a Norseman Thane in beta and had some fun with him, untill a friend of mine, who played on US, told me you should be able to level a char to lvl 15 in a weekend. (those where the days ehh) and i said "wtf no way".
But i wanted to try it out anyways, and so Hulbur came to life as a troll skald. Liked the idea of a troll singing to entertain people :D

Then i read about SB's being able to 1shot people and stay in stealth and thought omfg, thats so cool so i rolled one. (Edit: now that i think about it, i think i made him when i one day saw Microbe climbing the walls at DC) Unfortunately by the time i got around to finally making him lvl 50, that had been changed but SZ was now in style so ok, ill do that then. By the time i had finally gotten around getting him a full SC set and all, well ......

So now im holding my breath for 1.65 and ûber skald lubbing.

Xcept i named mine Ratattack :) .. Like wth... stlong troll with big hammer and shield .. and cast wtfpwnage ae hammerspell .. looked coolest in whole game... uber.... doh

I love thunder and lightning so thane was a natural choice for me. And Spiritmaster because necromantic stuff is interesting, but SM's aren't all that necroish in DAoC :)

Rolled my first gimp Zordo in the past because i wanted to be a cool ninja with 2 swords.. i never got the 2 swords but thought sb was cool anyway.
Rolled my 2nd gimp Astona because i was such a pbae fan and i thought i could pwn without being so fotm :eek:

made a lvl7 pally called hidon... then my m8s decided mid was best server on excal so we moved their and i made a warrior named hidon... never made an alt :p

made an Hunter at first, was gonna do small stealth grp with friends... they never made it that far :(

Anyway, after that I created an healer, good class really...
But noobisch as I was (and a Baldur's Gate fan) I thought to myself... healer has magic... okay needs intelligence... wait, when I played hibernia in beta they needed empathy, let's put some points in that too...


when I came to bg3... I found out healers don't need empathy and intelligence (lost 10 starting points cos of that).

Still all the same, i'm playing this gimp till this day, called borf :D
