And the white power ranger died in a plane crash on the way home.

I think people are just saying it's good to be different now.![]()
Lol. Such a n00b. The end part of Reloaded only required an IQ of about... 100 to understand, and a decent knowledge of the english language. I'm assuming you have neither. All it was, was 'The Architect' talking about choice and that Zion (or however it's spelt) had already been destroyed 5 times before etc, using big words in the process. Honestly, I found it quite easy to understand. I can't remember all of what he says, but I'll watch it again tommorow... and give you an easier translation.Originally posted by --Random--
with reloaded they just shot a normal film, then blabbed a load of confusing bollocks at the end to confuse the shit out of people and make it a true matrix film. people that say they understood it are lying.. they just wanna look cool.
I just thought I'd prove you completely wrong. So, here's my understanding of what the Architect said. I might also inform you that I'm a lot younger than you all, so really, this should have been quite easy for everyone else to understand. Anyways, the Architect. Well, first he starts off with the whole "I am teh Architect, I created the Matrix", type thing. Then... he goes on about the process (basically, Neo's life starting from the beginning of the first Matrix film) changing Neo's conscieousness (his 'way of thinking', if you like). This, of course, means he is still 'only human'. I'll skip the parts that I think you understand, and get on to the so called 'harder stuff'. I have to quote something he says here... "Your life, is the sum of a remainder of an unbalanced equation inherent to the programming of the Matrix". Now, this is where you're sitting there thinking WTF!?!? Really, if I could understand this, you should be able to. All you need is a reasonable knowledge of Math. An equation is a mathematical process in which a '=' is placed in the middle of two algebraic expressions. Each side of the '=' is equal to the other. The Architect is referring to the sum (product) of a remainder (the part left over) of an unbalanced equation. Meaning an equation which does not have equal expressions on each side of the '='. He then says that Neo is the 'eventuality of an anomaly", which means that he is the end product of an irregularity. Then, he says that despite his sincerest (best) efforts he was unable to eliminate (get rid of) this anomaly, from what, otherwise, is a harmony of mathematical precision (he is, of course, referring to the matrix here). He then goes on to say that they would rather not have this problem, but they do, and it was expected, therefore it is not uncontrollable. (to a certain extent) Through this control, Neo has been directed towards the Architect. Neo says that Architect hasn't answered his question. "Quite right, interesting, that was quicker than the others", he replies. When he says 'that was quicker than the others, he is referring to the other "One's", the anomaly's from previous matrix's. He then tells Neo that the matrix is 'older than you know', meaning that it has been active longer than he thinks. Next, he says that this is the 6th version of the Matrix, this number being based upon the showing of significant anomaly's such as Neo. Then, Neo realises that there is only two possible explanations for him not knowing this. That no one told him, or no one knows. He is, of course, relating to the latter. The Architect then says that the anomaly creates 'fluxuations' in even the most simplistic equations. Meaning that it creates irregularities in in the simplest equations (definition of equation is up there somewhere). You will undoubtedly have noticed the TV screens surround Neo and the Architect. These are every single one of Neo's possible choices, as he realises with the line "Choice, the problem is choice". The Architect rambles a bit about the first Matrix, and that it was perfect in every single way, a 'triumph equaled only by it's monumental failure'. I assume you know what that means. Then, the Architect try's to use big words. And fails. He basically says that it was bound to fail, because no human being is perfect, therefore a perfect world would be impossible. So, they designed the new Matrix's based upon mankind's history. But, this version also failed. He then says that only then did he understand why the answer eluded (evaded, escaped) him, and that it was because it required a 'lesser' mind. This reminds me far too much of the 'Petals around the Rose' game, somewhere up in the DAoC general boards. The answer, he says, was stumbled upon by another. This other, is the Oracle. If the Architect is the 'father' of the Matrix, then the Oracle would be it's 'mother'. Then he says that nearly 99% of all test subjects accepted the program that the Oracle 'stumbled' across, and that they would accept it even if they were given a choice. Even if this choice was only given at an 'unconscious' level. I'm sure you know what unconscious means. Then, he says that this method was flawed (shown by the fact that nearly 99% accepted the program, and not 100%). This is 'the remainder of an unbalanced equation'. This is what created Neo. Then he explains that unchecked, the 1% that didn't accept the program would eventually cause a serious problem. The Architect then explains that Zion is about to be destroyed. Then he says that this will be the sixth time they have destroyed it, leaving us with the question, is the so called 'real world' just another matrix? He then says that the function (job) of the One is to then return to the 'source' (origin), which will basically 'reset' the Matrix. He says that if Neo doesn't do this, then the population of humans that are connected to the matrix will be wiped out, and that this, as well as the destruction of Zion, will mean that the entire human race will be destroyed. Neo then points out that the Architect wouldn't let this happen, as they need human beings to live, for the energy that powers them. He then mentions that 'there are levels of survival we are prepared to accept', suggesting that there are other, less desirable ways of survival. The Architect then asks whether Neo is ready to accept the responsibility (blame) for the death of everyone in the world. Then he talks about the 5 previous anomaly's, and how they were meant to become attached to the whole human race, whereas Neo is much more focused on his attachment, and love, for Trinity. Then he gives Neo the choice. To save Zion, or to save Trinity. For the remainder of his little talk, he expresses the scientific explanation for the emotion, love.Originally posted by --Random--

That's all folks. Anything I missed out, do tell. Anything I understood wrongly, do tell. Anyone who didn't understand any of what I just wrote, you are not worthy of the complexities of the Matrix.![]()
Paragraphs suck. Makes it look less than it really is. Also, it had absoloutely nothing to do with the quality of the movies. I do, in a sense, agree with you. Matrix 1 fucking pwned, and still does. Matrix Reloaded was a let down, but still an ok film. I haven't seen Revolutions yet, but it sounds shit.Originally posted by Conchabar
i thought for 2 seconds i might read this then decided it was bs .. plz use paragraphs:x
MATRIX 1 owned
MATRIX 2 Suxed
MATRIX 3 WTF

And one more from one of the girls I went with (I personally don't think it has but...)
- Has the matrix been reset? Is everything just going to start over again?
Because when Neo returns to the source, the Matrix is reset. It's a program loop. It's designed like this to compensate for the anomaly (the One - Neo). If Neo doesn't return to the source, it causes a system crash. Cutting everyone off from the matrix. Like in the first one, where Cypher pulls the plug on a couple of them, and they drop dead. That's what would happen to all the humans plugged in to the matrix if Neo doesn't return to the source. The Merevignon, now that's a tricky one. The Oracle says he's one of the oldest programs. Of course, he faced deletion, and chose exile, like many other programs. One theory is he could be one of the previous One's, from one of the past matrix's. I'm not sure really.Originally posted by old.Wildfire
- The architect says the humans plugged into the matrix will die if neo doesn't return to the source. Why?
- Who the fuck is Merevignon?
It's like the Architect said at the end of Reloaded; nearly 99% of people who were given the choice would remain in the matrix. The other 1% are the inhabitants of Zion (or Xion, I'm not sure how that's spelt), that were 'unplugged' from the matrix.Originally posted by iluvatur
and in the end .... the matrix still remains and the people that want to come out will
I dunno, I haven't seen Revolutions yet. Sounds very mediocre though. Might not see it at all, and if I do, it won't be till it comes out on dvd.Originally posted by iluvatur
yeh, i understood everything about he film and why it had to happen like that (and it was funny listening to all the people discussing it who were convinced they were right and it was complete bullshit) i just hoped for a different ending .... like neo being a bad ass mother fucker instead of whispering all film.

DONT READ IF YOU DONT WISH TO KNOW THE ENDING
just curious ... in the 3rd part, didnt neo sacrifice himself as a kind of anti virus on smith and in return the humans of xion are aloud to live and also some set free?
I haven't seen the 3rd one, but looking at that post it looks like it.Originally posted by iluvatur
It's obvious that Neo is dead, the oracle explains that the architect balances equations.... this is why he cannot kill neo, as smith would remain. hence when neo merges with smith, and is connected to the source, the architect is able to delete them both.

I've watched the making of it already, seen all the good bits. Neo's fight with Smith, the fight for Xion etc. Probably won't bother even renting it now.
