who hates beggars?

I usualy don't give money to beggars that will come and say "can you spare some money please?" or so. I really don't like begging.

But diferent case is when i'm crafting or so and I meet newbie that or ask for something or just wants to chat. If he/she is nice and I enjoy chatting with him/her (usualy i do , I offer them few golds myself to help them - but only when i see that they are nice and trying to make money without beggig others. Those kind of players have my respect.

Also as my main is Armorcrafter, i usualy do full reinf set for up to lvl 10 newbies for free - after all I can make those money back fast and they are sooo happy But again - they have to be kind and show some effort to pay for armor first

I regularly hand out money to lowbies who are less than 10 and most of my guild. They dont even have to ask, I just decide to be nice all of a sudden.

Paladins, clerics and friars should have no money on them anyway, right?

I sometimes say "alms for the poor my friend, here you go" or "A gift from the church"

its a great way to get new guildies too

Yesterday a lvl 50 guild mate was on a money-hunt and drop-hunt (for his mates) in Varulv.

He sent us the most hilarious post of a - brief - conversation he had there with a lower lvl

[xxxxxx] says "Items plz"
[guildmate] says "What items do you want ?"
[xxxxxx] says "Magical items plz"
[guildmate] searches in his pockets to find a lvl 2 item to give out


Some people are just sooooo subtle

WTF are u talking about BEGGING RULEZ its an art few can understand ....

always find new ways to make higher lvl people give u money.....
here some tips for pro buggers!

1)ask need 5 sliver for horse if the 40+ character gives u money
he wont give u 5 silver ( if his not a cheap bastard) he will give u 1g++++

2) put your old lvl 2-3 armor at vault when u are out of money
wear it and go to high lvl peeps (cons purple wear fancy colored armor ) and ask for support.
say: i dont have money to go to the healer i die many times
that will help !!

3) join A guild U can leech ALOt of stuff !!

4) go to PK and be more pathetic then shit say i need medalion to go to rvr... and i have no money ::::: Bouhouhou


5)Find where the high lvl peeps gather many posibilities!!!!!!

Ondor has a good point to this subject, but for sure he is not the
Begger Trainer of Albion....

He gave me 50g just beacuse I said hi!! to him. I didn't had to use his tricks at all.

And I want to remind you all that 5g can save from a 5 lvl character about 2 hours play time. So I have no problem with people that ask for a little help.

Asking for help is fine, it is all about how it is asked for.

I used to give between 50s and 5g to starting chars, to help them with decent armour to start with and kickstart them.

The problem with volunteering this kind of thing is that you get a 50% chance that the person you are kindly donating to is actually the low lvl alt of a high lvl main who already has 200g in his pockets at level 2

So I basically stopped giving without being prompted. As a result, if the request is well formulated, not aggressive, if the sender decides he can spend the time to start the beginning of a polite conversation before asking instead of "hi, spare some gold plz?", then I am happy to give.

At this stage, it isn't begging anymore, more like asking for a favour.
