ehh? this isnt about warders not getting that stone. Its more about ppl that may have a hard time getting there hands on the stone not beeing able cus ppl that dont need it go into the lotto to sell it later to ppl with money.
I got money, I could go buy one my self. BUT there is many ppl out there that dosent have the money and there only chanse to get a stone is to enter the lotto but there chanse of getting one is largely decreased when ppl enter only to sell it later.

lol...snigger...what on earth are you on about? Oh hang on - someone disagrees with you - you tell them to forget it...

[Self edited various insults] Please stop telling people what to do. Once you stop that - ill consider letting go. Every post that you have made has been based around you demanding someone to stop doing something. So please - give it (and us/me) a rest.

Cheers.

Im just gonna quote Roo's dragon bash invitation...
Respec Stones
-------------

Ok, we all know this is where any arguments are likely to occur.

I believe that the dragon drops 20 respec stones. If we have 20FG show up, then each group gets one respec stone. This means that a guild that supplies 4FG will get 4 stones etc. If we have more than 20FG then I will assign each group a number and roll a random number until all stones are gone. Again this means that the guilds that put more into the raid have a higher chance of getting more respec stones, but its not guaranteed and the smaller guilds still have a chance.

In the case of a group of mixed guilds it is up to that group to decide what to do about it

Yes you can , yes you did , and I agree...

I am happy to let it Lie, we have defended Our position, and I do not think there is anyway certain members of the Warders will be happy.. So no point in flogging a dead horse...

I am confused as to why some of the Warders are so verbal about it when you claim you got all the stones you needed, yet none of these "wronged" people have stepped forward to be counted and one of the people that did not get the stone they wanted came forward to defend the selling of it..

Ooops sorry went off on one again... bad kobold..

Thing im worried about when ppl running off and selling respecstones is that it may end up with only ppl that spend loads of time and got lots of money in the game will be the one only having a chanse on getting a respec stone. As money is rather easy to get. Respec stones is something you just cant run of and get. And the chanse of a casual gamer gimping himself is far higher then ppl that play alot and normaly know exactly how to spec there chars before even starting it.

Sorry, couldnt resist. :)

Judith: Any Anti-Imperialist group like ours must *reflect* such a divergence of interests within its power-base.
Reg: Agreed.

(General nodding.)

Francis?
Francis: I think Judith's point of view is valid here, Reg, provided the Movement never forgets that it is the inalienable right of every man--
Stan: Or woman.
Francis: Or woman...to rid himself--
Stan: Or herself.
Reg: Or herself. Agreed. Thank you, brother.
Stan: Or sister.
Francis: Thank you, brother. Or sister. Where was I?
Reg: I thought you'd finished.
Francis: Oh, did I? Right.
Reg: Furthermore, it is the birthright of every man ...
Stan: Or woman.
Reg: Why don't you shut up about women, Stan, you're putting us off.
Stan: Women have a perfect right to play a part in our movement, Reg.
Francis: Why are you always on about women, Stan?
Stan: (pause) I want to be one.
REG: What?!
STAN: I want to be a woman. From now on, I want you all to call me 'Loretta'.
LORETTA: It's my right as a man.
JUDITH:
Well, why do you want to be Loretta, Stan?
LORETTA: I want to have babies.
REG: You want to have babies?!
LORETTA: It's every man's right to have babies if he wants them.
REG: But... you can't have babies.
LORETTA: Don't you oppress me.
REG: I'm not oppressing you, Stan. You haven't got a womb! Where's the foetus going to gestate?! You going to keep it in a box?!
LORETTA:[crying]
JUDITH: Here! I-- I've got an idea. Suppose you agree that he can't actually have babies, not having a womb, which is nobody's fault, not even the Romans', but that he can have the right to have babies.
FRANCIS: Good idea, Judith. We shall fight the oppressors for your right to have babies, brother. Sister. Sorry.
REG: What's the point?
FRANCIS: What?
REG: What's the point of fighting for his right to have babies when he can't have babies?!
FRANCIS: It is symbolic of our struggle against oppression.
REG: Symbolic of his struggle against reality.

Ok, I know lots of different viewpoints here but glad to see for the most parts its fairly reasoned and not been reduced to flaming (I think :D).

One of the biggest problems for me was in certain cases I KNEW I would be handing stones to people/guilds that had no need and completely intended to use the stone to get money.

It wasn't for me to judge. Its one of the binds you are in with these things: to be impartial and fair sometimes means you are stuck with the self interested benefiting from it.

Its the same in real life.

There were also cases where I felt certain guilds deserved more and the luck of the dice went badly against them. Just like I noted the people who were bending the lotto, I noted this too for the future. (TBH I was watching carefully how people behaved and if I'm involved in another raid this will greatly influence the invitation list and for the people that think they may lose out because of this, choose your leaders more carefully in future ;)).

The only comfort people can take from this is that we WILL be doing lots more raids and I think people that organise the raids will try harder to make sure that the people that desperately need to fix their chars will get attention, regardless of guild. I think reserving 5 stones of each type separate from the lotto is the way to do it: guilds and individuals can still have a shot at the main lotto, but those that lose out can still get a chance to fix their char.

Fedaykin got a respec stone which has still to be decided on, and my name came up in the dice rolling as one of the group leaders to get one. This was promptly given away and the final home of the Fedaykin stone remains undecided, the only thing I will say is that it won't be sold. If it goes to someone, they aren't paying for it. If it goes to someone in Fedaykin and I found out they sold it, they would be removed from the guild.

Its up to other guilds how they handle theirs, I don't think its for any of us to judge them.

let's hope 1.62h includes the following line :

"- added the 'Pickpocket' ability to Shadowblades. This ability allows you to remove any item from the targets inventory (note: not equiptet items). Success or failure is determined by the stealth skill, the dexterity and the quickness of the Shadowblade."

<rubs hands>

ooohh, is that a pink spirit over there, Roo ?

That would be nifty Hellskor...
Just too bad most Albions and Hibbies don't run around with their respec stones on them. Would have been fun though :p

I absolutely agree with Roo and think at least! 5 stones should be reserved for people that NEED them for RESPEC rather than to make a fast buck. ITs still early days and not many stones are floating about give it a raid or 2 and i think it will be better.

Maybe start a thread on here saying "I need A respec stone because....." and let people post and then once a week before a raid decide out of the 5 best posts who needs it and lotto the other 20
(LA nerf surely dosnt apply yet ? so SB ? already this idea will end in tears)

I first posted about this topic when the patch notes were released for US servers, asking how the stones would be distributed :)

Selling Stones for Funding Crafters... lol im sorry but crafting in daoc is stagnent/dead/almost pointless, all areas of crafting (except SC? and being LGM SC is more agro than most saine people can handle) are saturated beyond belief, i cant even sell 99% MP fletching stuff. Funding crafting is truley a waste of your RL time and i beg you to reconsider :p
ID rather u SHIFT+D'ed the stone than say it was going toward funding crafters..

btw i live in a fantasy dream world where mid players are all freindly, loving and sharing.

GivF MIthRIL!! for MP CHAIn LEgS
