They actually weren't that bad; just one of those games. Horse Face's first goal was so far offside I'm surprised he wasn't in the stands. Nice to see the Italians getting a spanking and the Dutchies playing as a team though; will probably implode with racist infighting by the quarters.

I was hoping as a neutral I could sit back and appreciate quality football without giving myself a coronary; but I've not been impressed by much so far. Hopefully Spain will finally show some decent form; I've put a tenner on them.

Now that i've seen everything on the controversial large nostril goal, it was a spot on decision by the linesman. I must admit it looked like a terrible mistake, but when I had an explanation spoon fed to me it made perfect sense.

I think Italy need to get a serious finger out if they are to have a chance of winning.

The decision to allow Fabregas' goal just now to make it 4-1 Spain was far worse, and I hope the linesman instantly retires in shame. *

Spain looked pretty good though (only caught the 2nd half live), and Villa's already put in his claim for the Golden Boot with a very well taken hattrick.

The problem is they always have one or two great games, then they implode for no reason. Would like them to do well as they have a great squad, but i just get the feeling that history will repeat itself. They have a relatively week group as well, so we will not know what they are capable of until they face one of the other big teams. Think if they win the group they play the 2nd placed team from the group of death.

Can you imagine the odds you would have got on Holland and Romania to qualify from this group? Hopefully that will happen DaGaffer, but at least France tried this game.

Gotta agree with WazzaWank. Holland didn't retreat into a defensive position with their lead. At this point in time they are showing Euro how to play decent attacking football.

Personally I think Italy played shit but I hate the French so would like to see them go out over Italy.

Holland deserve to win the cup period. No team has played like them since the tournament started.
