80 hibs will kill 130 Albion easily.
So next time you feel you are outnumbered, feel no need to dispare... Only reason we have a little chance against Mids is cause they lack all those power relics.
Ah, maybe, just maybe, they will give Albions group purge, or, horror, instant aoe mezz, range 1500, on a 204% speedbuffed player.
Till then, lets give you too many players to mezz :p

And when you discover such a player can actually be very demanding and frustrating to level and play, resulting in 40 people waiting for over 20 minutes time after time for one to appear and group with them, you'll know it's not contributing THAT much to your realm ( ;

We actually tried to avoid getting zerged by your unkillable tanks right in the beginning of a 3 way 40 vs 40 vs 40 or so battle

And it worked out nicely...

If i remember right Llaw went straight for the wall in that fight too...too bad u found us there...better luck next time elesias ;P

I hate to flame but sorcerers are no more fun to level or RvR, possibly even less as they have even less HP. In PvE a few resists on an area mes and death, to be any good at mesing and only get resisted half the time and to get a decent radius on the AoE mes you have to gimp yourself in Domination.

In RvR Sorcs get one shoted or mes enemy purges with them in their target then one shots him/her or get insta-messed while trying to mes (you can’t QC faster than an insta and you can QC while running) then gets one shoted spending all their time dead and having no fun eating dirt.

The bottom line is that Sorcs are just as much a pain in the ass to level and no fun RvR that is why we have so few and there is no point in waiting for one to come because they will never come. As our classes have very little over lap on abilities no other class can fill this void and we are stuffed.

I hope that this does not sound too whiney but it is no different to the situation of Bards in Hib.

Those numbers scares me (But then agn, albs keep proving that they are mathematically challenged over and over).

We hide with our grp near mmg, Eleasias goes to scout and says 4 grps or more. Now as we where alone and amg was clear I use /as to announce the large alb force and ask if we can get any help to clear them out? I get replys from 2 other grps (3*8 = 24) We gather at the lake and charge from left flank, center and right side. Mids decides to charge thru mmg when the majority of the alb zerg is dead, a few ppl still hiding in the wall room and since we where so spread out/oom they eventually wipe us.


To sum the whole evening up: you diddint managed to win with 110 matches on /who emain in albion vs 50ish hibs but im sure you did your best. Better luck next time Krane :clap:

104% speed buff would be normal speed + 4%. 204% speed buff (which is what skalds/bards/minstrels have) is 204% of normal speed, hence they run a little more than double the speed.

actually zerg means ur severally outnumbered and shatered into bits, 3fg at 7am = zerg.

hibs have instamezzes and grouppurge
albs have bunker of faith and SoS. Plus 2 secondary mezzers (misntrel and airtheurgist) insta pbmezzers (clerics) and the only main mezzer class able to deal dmg. (do i need to say which one?)

Most albs would say smiters be4 30 sec - 5 min pb mez nerf :p

Airtheurgs mez is shorter range and half the area of effect compared to the other realms secondary mezzers, in short airtheurg mez blows.

To all you other air theurgists out there! Sure we are gimped and sure Mythic has treated us like poo. But air theugists can be the grp ae mezzer and can turn an alb group into a force to be reckoned with. The gimped range, duration and aoe just means that your group has to learn to kill more quickly. In FC we have no regular sorcs to speak of (Afun please play more often!) so all the ae mezz is down to us air theurgists, but we do ok. Theurgist of the world unite and don't let the bastards at Mythic get you down! :clap:

Thanks for the encouragement, as you can see from my signature I am not playing my Theurg much these days – Albion’s mighty <cough> siege specialist that I wanted to play not really what Mythic ended up giving us - been levelling my Wiz (I think I will get to L50 just in time for 100% heat resists from spell crafting! :-p)

Oh well don’t like melee I just guess I will fight on bravely with the tools I have and offer Mythic a pound of flesh for a win… sorry stun button :-] though I might be persuaded to settle for a near sight spell, pets that work or a gtAoE.

Stopped playing my Alb chars on Sat lunchtime ish as soon as I saw zerging in volume from them. Is just a dwonward spiral from there. When 1 realm zergs all seem to. Saw the pattern for the day so I logged my ranger in on Pryd. Had a really nice relaxing with some friends and stayed there all sunday too.

If it dont improve in the weeks to come I will play less and less on Alb/Exc and more on Hib/Pryd. This isn't blackmail (no-one really cares if I'm there or not really). I joined FC as I know they don't zerg but seems to be getting harder and harder to see any sensible skilled action the longer this situation continues the worse the standard and enjoyment of playing the game becomes for me personally.

Blows? Yes, that would be the right term. We blow our opponents apart!

Sure it gets me killed if I just run in and fire the 1250 range mez so I have to think ..... awww SHIT!

Ok, heres how i tend to work:

Stick to the biggest badest tank in your group, fall back upon contact. His big highlander body will lower the chances of the enemies seeing you right away.

Throw in a root to keep those pesky tanks off ya (I HATE purge).
Now everyone is interrupted and you may get the opening to throw in a mez, if not: lie down and play dead.

If you dont get the opening for more roots or some mezzes its cuz some tank is hurting you and the tank guarding you isnt doing his job.

Once the situation is under control you can start having fun, cuz the battle is a good as won. Do NOT break mezzes without stun or reliable interruption. Instamezzes are SO annoying and can turn the tide very fast.

Anyway, those were my experiences from 2 weeks active RvR as air theurg. I am very happy with the class, if I was not, there's only myself to blame as I had the informed choice of its abilities before i rolled it.
