When does wanking become excessive?

Had a conversation about this down the pub a few days ago and pretty much everyone disagreed, so I was wondering what the good people of OT thought. Basically what would you consider the point where masturbation becomes excessive?

Personally I always thought once a day was more than enough apart from those occasional 'horny' days where the beast needs slaying 2-3 times. A friend thought that was obsessive and said anything more than a few times a week is excessive but also unhealthy as it fucks with your labido. Another friend said he pulled his pudding 3 times a day when single but since he got married his has sex twice a week and it fully satisfies him.

So as you can see different people have different requirements but what would you personally consider excessive masturbation?

If it however effects your life, hinders other areas and is something you can't live without, it's a problem.

Also if your member is all red, swollen and full of stretchmarks, you might be stretching your limits.

Lol well I go at it around 5-8 times a day at the moment, was closer to 10 when I was at uni, always been a pretty sexual person and even if I'm having sex on the occasion still is pretty high. I know it's excessive but I need it to keep me calm plus if I'm horny and don't deal with it it starts to hurt and ache so I just sort it out.

Once a day sure as hell does not suffice, but 1-3 a week? I'm pretty sure I'd be a completely different person, I go a bit ravanous when I've got the horn.

I'd suggest seeing a doctor mate. I mean that without malice; it shouldn't ever be painful to leave it out for a while, alright uncomfortable but not painful. That coupled with 5-8 times a day, even if you're 18-20 (don't know your age, just suggesting that as that's when you should be most 'active') that's a hell of a lot more then average.

For myself, I'd say once or twice a day, depending on the mood. If I end up having a dry spell though, much like I'd expect for everyone, I quickly catch up

After about a week I start getting fucking dodgy dreams and just autospooge in my sleep; which is a pain. Far easier to operate heavy machinery in a controlled environment.
