Classes it's impossible for a rr8 skald to even try to challenge 1v1:
(unless he's got a completely crap template, can't play his class and rr1)
Warden
Champion (rr5 = 1400 dmg per hit, although he'd beat me without popping it)
Valkyrie
Valewalker
Reaver
Thane
Armsman
Mercenary
Savage
Warrior
Hero
Paladin (shield tanks don't even need to use slam to defeat me)

Also most casters obviously are 'no touch' and these would definitely be on top of list if they would count. These are the most OP, all of these will drop me between 1500 and 700 range, before I even get into mez/dd range and no chance in hell I'd get into melee range:
Sorcerer
Cabalist
Spiritmaster
Eldritch
Enchanter
Mentalist (if I should get in melee range of this, his rr5 = melee immune)
Wizard (I'm dead at clip plane range)

Other classes I have a slight chance of challenging if I'm lucky, there's no class that wouldn't beat me if he gets the jump. That said even though a skald is about the weakest class 1v1 atm it still works well in a duo/trio.

I've found vampiir to be the only class I beat more than I lose to, as their leather is weak to my hammer, I'm able to do 900 dmg (incl. Anger2) per swing if I use all tools and get to parry some in the start. (Purge fumble-debuff, hammer use so little end it's np if I lose 80% end.)

If you struggle that much on a RR8 skald, perhaps its time to invest in a template, buffs, get Masterlevels done and last but not least visit your trainer to spec your lines.

erm, skalds pretty good 1v1, so err, like puppet says, sure you have equiped armour not just left it in inv bags?

This is from my zerker's perspective.

Vamps - Some are ridiculous to fight and not even fun. Fortunately there's only a handfull of those, but enough to put them at the top for me. Rest of the vamps can be fun fights, but sometimes they can be free RPs.
Arms - Hit me too hard and i don't hit them hard enough.
Merc - DT wohoo! Without DT/rr5, they can be a good fight and not really any harder than champs, VWs and such.

I've never lost to another skald in duel, I'm solo combat specced, armed to the teeth and still a rr3 templated thane beats me easily. I used to be able to beat warriors in duel, but after they got +10% HP boost that seems to be enough to be unbeatable. Skalds 1700 WSkill and 2300 HP vs Warriors 2200 WSkill and 3000 HP. I need to parry a lot to have a chance.

Raven I remember fighting your hero, and yes I gave you a challenge but you're using 2hander and can't block my swings. It's a complete different scenario against a shield tank.

I have to admit I've beat most paladins 1v1, but if played/specced right etc it shouldn't be that scenario. Also I haven't fought any after they got their celerity.

Some savages I beat in duel, but certain others are just crazy. Rolv for example killed me in 3 swings after an evade, pretty much unharmed. Seen him kill 3 vampiirs solo at once, and never seen him lose to a mercenary he just eat them alive. Thanes who beat me up with their little finger lay on the grass in seconds.

The rest of the classes I mentioned pretty much speaks for themselves don't they? They'd need to be really badly played to lose.

You are the easiest skald 1v1. Unless you sos away you are rps in a few seconds. With sos it just takes a little longer

Ur so wrong. Ranger doesnt come close to that title due to the lack of defense in longer stretched fights. Physical Defense is good, but smart enemies know by now how to get past that. FZ is (still) nice, useless next patch but alot of enemies have no troubles surviving 10 seconds against a ranger.

High RR Ranger versus high RR armsman is like your mincer against a Vampiir. It just wont happen.

I played abit more my m8s valk today more seriously with no zerg out there... did 7 fights the one after the other... and can say i won with relative ease. What amazed me was the ease a valk can go throught fights without having to burn all timers (and they can be MANY)...so it makes valk a a class v able to chain like a fuck. I also believe the new VN can do same.
