Bit daft. If stopped the police still need to see the paper part. It would be cheaper to just get an ID card, there are several schemes that aren't the stupid official government version. To replace your driving license it's quite expensive I think.

did i say i get stopped by the police a lot ?
or just that it proves your DOB and address, etc ?

if police require it you have time to produce it anyway, so it hardly matters

I don't understand why you wouldn't carry your driving licence. The amount of things you need to show ID for these days it just makes life so much easier.

Clubs/Banks/Police/Hiring Vehicles all manner of other stuff. Just easier to keep it in there and not have to think at 7 am when I leave the house,' Will I need ID today?'

It's simple from my point of view.
If I was in a fatal car crash and had my head or face mushed in, at least my licence would positively identify my body.

Why worry - you'd be past caring at that point...

Well to be honest i've not had to prove my id that often, and when i have it's required both my licence and my passport, hence they are both together in a safe place

Local kiosk chain coffee card(still need one to get a free one :p)
2 bobby pins (never know and they fit right in)
Local medicine place...card..thingy. Apothecary card?
SII card (sickness insurance).
3 bank cards (1 fake, 2 tucked away)
Net bank codes.
Travel card for local bus/etc lines.
Big gold colored coin from Rika :p
ID card.
1 of those..needle things...you know...that make a curvy round thing...safety pin!
2 packs of insta pain killers.
Condom(s) if i happen to remember them.
Cash naturally.
Some random paper things, cheapo tickets etc.
Local casino card(expired, need to renew).
Cab company card.
Video rental card.
Unemployment office card.

And that's about it. Sounds bigger then it is :p

Closure for your wife, kids, family, friends etc.
Surely you care about someone, or people care about you? I know I'd be a wreck if my wife died and couldn't be positively identified.

Aren't your car license plates more likely to survive than your wallet?
