think dubs told me that if you go for the three chamber spec warlock you ramp up your lifetap damage by going lots of mastery of magery and about 2 mastery of focus (higher realm rank of course) which means you can powerless life tap for longer and do equivalent damage to the target. However i would suspect they could have had some passive artis that give the chance not to use power thingy. SO they got a free lifetap or two.

I like my warlock but she takes too long to cast

Mines 28/46 spec. Quite decent cast speed with aug dex4 and 8% castspeed.
At 5L1 I can get aug dex5 as well. (381 dex)
I choosed that spec bcos I didnt like the idea of 5.3s powerless.

Ofc it has no effect, other than allowing ml-raids to be twice as fast or so with less people, but hey, everyones loves to spend time at ml-raids just because you do it, so we should actually be happy we dont have petspam.

With 50 people on an ML raid it'll take about 5 minutes tops (less in most cases) for most of the step monsters to die. Petspam makes that a bit quicker, though most things die before there's a solid enough amount of pets to break the to-hit code. Most of the time on an ML raid is moving through the dungeon, which funnily enough petspam doesn't help.

Sure if you want to do ML3 with 2fg you'll need petspam - but it's going to be mind numbingly slow even with that.

Petspam doesn't help ML raids for the vast majority of people - it might make Talos die a bit faster on an ML8 raid, that's it. It might help some crazy guild ML raid with 2fg, but it's certainly not going to matter a jot to the average warlock on a public raid.

Makes a huge difference farming itamz (e.g. animists vs ml10 = sick) though ml9 pets can do an awful lot of what you'd want petspam to do otherwise.

Still, next patch you get your petspam for free (no power costs, and it's on tanks, disadvantage being you have to group a thane or a valk I suppose ) in midgard so you can be the easymode realm for pve as well

They should add pet-spam to the summon line Spiritmasters. Currently that spec has absolutely no use what-so-ever apart from the sit there all day with a FoP bot and farm artis to make the prices on the market even more insane. Yay for that spec!

Seriously though, spam in the summon line would make perfect contextual sense too. Little mini-spirits that go chasing after people would be a a brilliant fix for an otherwise RvR impossible spec =)

Was the same attitude about savages not so long ago (and before that was some other class), I couldnt care less bout those fuckin fotm-whiner retards.

I play for fun, and new classes with new possibilities is my kinda fun, mmk.

Been involved in a Keep siege like just took place in Eras? Then you would not be saying this. Warlocks are so OP its just gone beyond funny.

well think of it this way, how many mid ml raids have failed/not even set out because of a lack of people?, yet in another realm it would be easily do able with the same numbers (since every ml raid i've done on hib has had 1-2+ anis regardless of the size of the bg). It might not effect the big raids but it sure makes a difference to small raids.

I know =) And I aren't just dismissing your point of view I just think that having a warlock blow two chambers on you in four seconds is on par with having a sorc or eldy nuke you four times in four seconds.

Basically my point was that (because of lag and line of sight issues with the game meaning that even if you move from the window/balcony the second you're hit) you're still gonna be banged for 2500 dmg by any caster that gets a target on you at a keep nowadays.

Doesn't matter (in my personal experience) whether it's by two chambers and an unint over those 4 seconds or by 4 spells from a line caster. You're just as dead.

I can see Warlocks being a bigger inbalance on classic though with no super dex cap and casting speed items.

I hear your point - and think it has some validity - but warlocks can dish the most damage very quickly of anyone I come across, mid or hib - take aim, fire, unstealthed, fek dead as some warlocks has spotted you lol - expect most of the time I don't lol of course as what can u do in that situation, nothing... accept it and move on, come on here and moan about it, or log and go give the wife some overdue attention

Well exactly. I can't see much changing unless they fix the serious balance problems with all caster classes. If they did that Warlocks would be truly in league of their own and would have to be nerfed. Which would be ok.
