I was led to believe in maths 6x5 is 30 and +8 is 38 but then again I am shite at maths.

Question about ability caps

Suppose I have capped str through items, and on top of that I have capped str with druid and warden buffs. Will Augmented Strength add anything to my str then, or will it be utterly useless?

Motivation:

Wardens with 6 sec bubble always have mana shortage problems, so few wardens actually spend mana on healing. I still do a huge amount of ressing in RvR, so I need my mana a lot

And wardens are crap damage dealers, so a little extra str won't hurt. Or it will, actually (;

Because of this bug, DEFINITELY don't get purge in 1.50. Save your RA-respec until the 1.51 patch comes along and fixes purge (i.e. you are immune for 1min after purging an effect), but by then imho you will have come to love the passives more than a horribly expensive 30min-timered skill.

Purge dispells all negative effects so root included. Aside from the bug that might cancel the immunity timer. Anyway why waste r-points on purge anyway. Cure Mezz is all I have to say. Make sure you got a cure mezz dude walking behind you and you got all the purge you wish for.

In Alb cure mezz is on 2 classes, Sorc and Minst. In the middle of a battle I wouldn't hold your breath for one of these classes to cast it. If were losing and the Sorc isn't mezzed he/she will be rightfully trying to mezz them, not unmezz you. If we're winning and they're on the run the minst will chasing them, again not casting cure. But we'll see i guess.

I'm pretty sure purge doesn't dispell negative effects of spells that haven't been cast yet. If you get rooted after you purge, you're rooted.

its gotta be a toss off between these ones.... (havent looked at costs or anything yet)

1) Ignore Pain Active 30 min. 14 0 0 0 First Aid 2 Self heal that heals 100% of the user's health, and can be used in combat.

(omg that gonna feck up my ability to snipe peeps who have this) Thats gonna gimp the game big style....

2)Avoid Pain Active 15 min. 3 6 10 0 0 Augmented Constitution 3 60 second boost to physical damage absorption, 10% per level per level of this ability. (should mean I can actually do someone in mellee if need be)

3) Purge Active 30 min. 10 0 0 0 0 N/A N/A Dispel all negative spell effects from your character, such as rez sickness, DOTs, poisons, mesmerization, stun, etc.
(dont need to coment on how good this one is)


4) Mastery of Archery Passive N/A 1 3 6 10 14 Augmented Dexterity 3 Additional 3% per level firing speed when firing bows/crossbows. Please note that the minimum alowed bow attack timer is 1.5 seconds – this ability will not allow you to go below this hard cap. It ill, however, increase the speed of slower bows (which do more damage per hit).

5)Long Wind Passive N/A 1 3 6 10 14 N/A N/A Your character can sprint for a longer period of time than normal. (always handy)

6)Augmented Dexterity Passive N/A 1 3 6 10 14 N/A N/A Increases your character’s Dexterity by 6 per level (should help a bit)


Long shot and volley seem pretty crap...... Looks like you u cant crit on a long shit and you dont get the damage bonus (if this is true its only good from long range res killling and grey sniping)

Volley.... A bit like running up and slapping a few peeps in the face... I really dont like getting that close...

I'm R3L1 now and when I'm R3L3 I can afford First Aid lvl2 and Ignore Pain. First Aid is extra sweet for a skald since I can mesmerize and use it in 1vs1's (Need to be out of combat to use it, 60% heal at lvl2). After that I'll go for Augmented Strength lvl3 and Mastery of Arms as much as I'll bother since I'm a 2H sucker
