Other: as I'm considering giving up and going USA.
Not because I need to create an account (closed beta) but because I'm still appalled by the series of event.

I thought that nothing had happened when i managed to actually get to input my beta key when I did as I got an error whilst doing it, but it seems that behind the scenes some transacton completed as I just recieved my confirmation email saying my key is now valid for use.

So sometime when you think there is an error something is actually happening.
