If I listen to the radio by choice, it's Radio 2. We used to have Radio 1 on at work a lot, which drove me insane half the time.

I'm wagering on Emb listening to Radio 4, especially Woman's Hour

XFM (london only I believe)

But I'm starting to get annoyed with it as they play the same 5-10 tracks all day

Chelmsford, actually, in Essex. About 40 miles NE from the centre of London, but Xfm can be heard loud and clear.

Incidentally, have a listen to highlights from Ricky Gervais' and Stephen Merchant's Saturday afternoon show. For the uninitiated, Ricky Gervais is the star of The Office, and co-wrote and co-directed it with Stephen Merchant.

I'm not particularly a music buff, so genuinely funny presenters always get my vote, but Xfm plays good music too, unlike the constant shite that Radio 1 seems to think is important.

Have a listen to Christian O'Connell in the morning, too.

Zane is clearly superior as he loves the music he plays, this is SHOCKING and he must be removed from the airwaves.

Hmm I mostly listen to Radio 1, but I cant stand Sarah Cox or Mark & Lard, *coxy* puts on a fake accent a bit like cilla black which just pisses me off as she would be ok if the didnt, and mark & lard just repeat tired old gags.

The rest is ok, and the specialist shows are quite good - D&B & punky stuff anyway, as well as John Peel.

Radio1 plays far too much R&B :/

I generally listen to local radio(Trent FM). They take the piss out of Derby lots, what more does a radio station need?

The noise my radiator makes when an air bubble is trapped in it scares me. Its not radio-friendly.

Radio 1 does play far too much R&B which is annoying because you'd think their sister station they keep banging on about 1 extra dedicated to black music would have all that covered. I think the DJs are getting a bit pissed off with being told to play the same old crap coz they're all starting features that allows them to play any song they want, Mark and Lard's son of cheesily, comedy Dave's tedious link, Im sure Sarah Cox and Jo Whiley does something like that too.

If you listen to the crap during the day you get RnB et al because it's popular.

Radio One's best DJ is Annie Nightingale.

John Peel is a crazy old fool.

That's enough controversy for one night kids!

I don't think its popular I think its what the radio 1 producers say its popular. This week, Dj Sammy heaven is number 1 bit of an anthem if you ask me but it gets play twice at best in one day on radio one whereas nelly and kelly whatsername gets at least 5 times a day.

I agree there is a bit too much RnB on Radio One, but as Scooba says it is popular at the moment so they have to cater for it.

I mainly listen to the Chris Moyles show and Westwood on R1. The Westwood show a couple of days after the death of JMJ was a very poignant moment as was the show on the 6th anniversary of the death of Tupac

Dj Sammy is clearly the chessiest song ever. Admittedly I can't think of any redeeming features of Dilemma, but it is better than Sammy's cheese fest

Generally listen to radio1 when theres a good tune but then flick to Trent FM (Nottingham Local), Leicester Sound (I dont need to tell you) or Ram FM (Sheep shagger land number 2). Trouble is with these stations that they are all made by the same company so if u flick through them your going to be listening to the same track at the same time. Not bad if you like a tune as you get to listen to it 3x over :) . If radio1 didnt play so much shite and repeat playing it I would probably listen to it when ever Im in my car. Chris Moyals is the only thing I can really listen to. Mark and Lard are pure shite talking more bollocks than half of you lot. ;)
