I used to only listen to CDs in my car, but ive gotten bored of my current collection (2hrs driving a day will do that to it ), so ive been forced to listen to the radio. Was listening to a few good stations (XFM, BBC London) then my car aerial decided to fall off (rubber seal perished or something) so now im stuck with the only station that has poweeful enuff coverage to be in signal throughout my journey, radio 1.

I dont like Sarah Cox, i really dont think shes funny, and the music selection on her show seems worse than all others.

Mark & Lard are ok, but not great, Chris Moyles is fuckin hilarious, only radio show that actually makes me laugh, and now i prefer listening to his show than new cds etc.

103.4 MFM when i was in the UK <--- teh win!

=================================

out here it's 100.5FM Dubai Radio 1.

Some nice tunes on the dubai one but the presenters piss me off. If the reception is particularly bad i have to listen to 97.5FM Qatar Broadcasting Service (which doesn't come on until mid-day (thanks to it being ramadam), becomes french 2pm onwards and just generally pisses me off.

AND THEY ALL SWITCH OFF AROUND MIDNIGHT! was greatly pissed off about that

Only time I've listened to the radio is in the car and I used to listen to classic fm but I got fucked off with them advertising themselves constantly (like WHY?? I'm already listening to you, stop advertising yourselves it's pointless!!) so I switched to radio4 but that started to annoy me especially the Today program which was becomming more & more tabloid every day so I listened to radio 1 for a while but I could feel my IQ getting lower each day every time Sara Cox or Chris Moyles came out with the same idiotic crap they came out with every day hour minute,I could feel another 3 points drop off my IQ so I went out and bought a CD player for the car fucking hell best £100 I ever spent so I don't listen to the radio at all any more :)

You can breathe now.

Ditto.

Or in the car Rock FM, North West only, or R1 with traffic programming on (TP).

quite possibly the worst radio station ever. They only get through about two songs before they do 15min commercials.

And have they ever played rock?... nope.

Nothing much good in the north west. Radio 1, rock fm, Cityfm and key103 are quite similar.

If i have to put up with the radio then it'll probably be Dune Fm(Southport) ,Century Fm(Manchester) or Virgin Radio if the AM signal is any good.

Radio One's best DJ is Annie Nightingale.

John Peel is a crazy old fool.

That's enough controversy for one night kids!
Annie is great, the only DJ where the fun is working out how mashed she is going to be by the end of the show.

And as for John Peel...words can't begin to describe. I was listening one night, and he threw on a very cheesy techno track. Suddenly, a few minutes in, John butts in with "Too slow anyone?" and turns it up from 33 to 45, gabba house stylee.

Fantastic.:D

They do however give good local traffic reports, which is important to me. If you can hear Dune you must be close (or in) to Southport, as their signal is piss poor.

Arr me hearties, and here be another fine ditty by that young bard Craig David.

Arr.

(Note: Craig David is shit, this is not an endorsement. And much like Classic FM is overly self-referential, which makes his shit even shitter.)

I only ever listen to the radio on the way home from work in the car, Forth1 local station, however it proved to be to my advantage this evening when I happened upon a competition to which i knew the answer to, phoned up as there fuck all else to do when stuck in traffic and that was that.

10 minutes later my name is announced on the radio as having won a pair of tickets to see feeder play a closed door gig next week.

It may play shit music but maybe I'll pay more attention in future :)

Congratulations to me:clap:
