I played Final Fantasy IX before Final Fantasy VII. However, I got bored early on in Final Fantasy VII and stopped playing it. I ended up thinking that Final Fantasy IX was better, even though people were telling me Final Fantasy VII was the best. Admittedly it has an interesting plot line... I just never got into it.

Final fantay VII has a better plot than most films and when you get further into the game the best character building system of the lot, play it, play it now!!!!

I really can't remember exactly how far I got into the game... I remember being at a town with docks, shortly after this tower (near beginning I know). Maybe it's worth it to pick it up and try again. (Final Fantasy IX was good too though, wasn't it? )

Alien 8 - Spectrum (What was the werewolf one before it?)
Head Over Heels - Spectrum - Excellent 2 character game.
Carrier Command - Spec/Amiga - Great sim.

Anyone remember Armour-Geddon on Amiga?

I remember spending hours playing that with me and my brother linking two Amigas together and battling loads of computer vehicles until the link flipped out and we were forced to play solo (for about 2 minutes then we rebooted and started all over again)

Was a bit of a debate whether to include Manic Miner or Jet Set Willy, but I went for Miner, considering the game can actually be finished without cheating.
