my point is that with a choice comes consequences. Being a Man. U. fan you know that there will be haters who will discriminate against you (think that is a better example when discussing general discrimination). Being black you do not get the option to decide wether or not you want a group of people discriminating against you by making a choice (of being black obviously).

I was simply asking the forum a question on how they would compare the two.

Just so we all know, tohtori has belittled racism to such an extent that these are on par in his view. It is obvious however that he has never been racially abused, for example no one has physically assaulted him or bullied him for years for his race.

You can replace racism with heightism, ageism, sexism, xenophobia, homophobia.

I have no idea what attention has to do with anything, it is how you rate things. I rate discrimination against something you cannot control as worse than something against a choice. I goto nightclubs and I have been turned down for wearing trainers (my choice to wear them), they are discriminating me for wearing trainers in that case and forming an image of how I act. That isnt worse than not letting someone in because they are gay, for example.
Im not gay my self but I can still appreciate that one is worse than the other.
