Hunter Gimp of all realms easy, starting to recover now but still any class can kick his butt :(

Thanes, Scouts and Hunters.... Hunters get fixed in 1.56 though....

The most gimped "type" of class is definatly archers and after 1.56 the most gimped class will probably be a scout.

hahah thanes arnt gimp ffs.

i dueled Hrodelbert last night and still had 95% hp when i had killed,(btw he is #1 arms on pryd)

so if thanes are gimped i would like to see a class that isnt gimped.

also got screenies to back this up if u think im telling porkies

1 on 1's don't show how big gimp classes are

As a Thane, I can solo lvl 50 wizzies no problem

Don't show much for thanes. Or for Wizzards

And yes, I've killed good players solo too, Shane, Slayn, Barrin, Walker (in a zerg) amongst others

Doesn't mean thanes are uber

so if thanes are gimped i would like to see a class that isnt gimped.

im sure he was afk, had no necklace on, had bad lack, was typing in IRC, has the wind in his face, sun in his eyes AND was fighting uphill.

Its a Blademaster or a Thane imo. - by gimped, to me thats 'needs' to be improved.

Minstrel and Clerics and Sorcs and Wizards and Paladins aren't really gimps its all how you play the game.

A body/matter sorc are good specs, mind spec needs some love though, most sorcs split their specs pretty evenly body/mind though.

Minstrels are great speed,powersong, mezzing, sure you do pretty naff damage and yer stealth not so good anymore (which they should fix or replace), but if you try and play the support role, ie mezzing everyone (unmezzing teammates), dropping a few stuns on tanks going for casters etc, well i personally find that satisfying play.

Clerics are great enhance/rejuv, smite got nerfed so unless you spec highly you do pretty naff damage, but they are a great support class if you play support.

Wizards, we could do with less interrupts, cheaper moc, crits back up to 100%, and FA to be fixed, but otherwise we pretty fine.

Paladins, hmmm well you're great support rezzers, you do a bit naff damage though be nice if you did some more, and have better uses of piety and your powerpool, but if you want to ignore ya chants and rezzing then you shoulda rolled an armsman tbh :)

Thanes no comment, never played one and hammers still manage to get me killed sometimes ;p

oh and earth theurgists hmm, nice bladeturn, the other spells dont really stack up well to what a runie or warden gets in the equivalent lines though. its a nice 26/45 line though :eek:

Speaking from played experience, Earth theurg and paladins are some of the BEST classes in Alb for PvE... shame about RvR tho :)

Guess on the carebare server loads will play paladins.

I'd say its hard to talk about gimped classes. Its much about how they are played and so on. However there are characters which are much worse than their counterparts in other realms. For example hunter is the worst archer before 1.56. Thane is by far worse than champs, blademasters are much more gimped than berskerkers. And so on.

you mean warriors ? hehe some think there gimped.. but i dont.. yeah we lack something special. something that defines the class but tbh i happily gank albs/hibs... still cant get over my nice victory against Krolllka today.. she jumped with PA `n` all.. still killed her. and thats with out end. And im sure many albs/hibs that have bumped into me solo will know how good my defense is :D bit like the paladin and cleric that that were ganking greys until i showed up.. they used what seemed like 3 insta heals before i even got near to pressing my FA2 button.. that fight ended with me at 60% hp and them dead... If warriors were truely a gimped class there`s no way i could do that.

sharma until you play a hunter dont write of things you know nothing of.

As hunters started ut as the best most over powered class in DAoC Mythic in there wisdom found it necessary to nerf them again and again from patch 1.36 until 1.52. My hunter retired for 3months as he was useless against everything, the last patch has given us Heavy Bows and different arrow type damage which is on the road to recovery but along from getting there hopefully 1.56 will get us back on an even keel and not everyones wiping boys.

Played a hunter? then you cant comment.

btw I have a healer and he is uber I am still the same player so that is proof I know how to get the most from a class.

actually that just proves you know how to play a healer.. doesn't mean you're good at playing your hunter or not.. :rolleyes:
