The most significant games for me have been (in no particular order):

Links (original) & PGA Tour Golf (original)
Doom
Quake
Quake 3

What do you mean, "What happened to VC?"
If you're wondering why no-one's gone for VC and instead plumped for GTAIII, then it's because GTAIII was here first and it became everyone's first love.*

And you retro pests; the best game pre '75 was Space Wars. :p

Not that i'd know.

*Not in all cases.

Not a 'best game of all time' but worth remembering.

Ergonomically terrific.

yes. and pong, because it utterly rocks and can still hold me captive for hours on end :) I'd also have to say Elite, being that it is the game that -to this date- I have spent the most hours enjoying :D
I can still remember banging my MSX on the table/ wiggling the leads/ smacking the tape unit....anything to try to force a hypredrive malfunction hehehehehe

Not really, my local Dixons had it advertised, so I had expected them to get it in.

But they didn't. Cunts.

So got it in Game, along with me reward points:

Points Earned :
41475
Points converted into vouchers :
30000

Points Balance :
11475

Eep!

Bomberman on the old Super Nintendo wasn't half-bad either... well, when you had a friend to blast to bits. ;)
