What has happened to the middies?

Like the seasons Midgard is now going through a winter stage soon it will be spring in Midgard, then you Albs and Hibs will taste some Midgard blood.
Then summer comes and we will rule Emain , Hadrians wall and the relics with a Iron fist.

Sure we don't have the numbers of Albion but this will make us work better as a team and use our smaller groups to a advantage.
As you all post here wondering where we are, we are living well in the safety of Midgard and working hard to get stronger not only in levels but also in a new way to wage war.

You found the first set of level 50 Mids a chalange, now be affraid; be very affraid on the new level 30 +s coming out, we know where the mistakes where made and have learnt from them.

ROFL Olgark :)

A lot of albs are really helping each other with lvling (especially thank some Preatorians for letting me and some of my m8s joining you). Our army is growing by the day as well and our alliances are growing like weed :)

All I can say the AFA will be made on Albion and we will strike...

Anyone want some dragon piece?

Until now, the guilds on middy have been at each others throats, competing for the imaginary 'we are teh best guild on midgard muahahaha' award. I have seen members of my own guild spam gc with abusive and unfounded attacks on other guilds based upon nothing but a deep seated hatred. I swear that some keep raids fail because they are organised by guild X, and guild Y want to see them fall flat on thier faces.....Sort it out, grow up, pull together, then we just might win ( or more likely, not lose )
This is strange, I started on Mid less than a week ago, joined NP as I knew people there and they still are one of the most organized guilds along side of Prophets in Emain... After our group reached a reasonable level, we headed to Spindel ... Luckily the crab spawn was empty and we set our camp there, not soon after a group of Nazgul's join in, no one said nothing as we thought we can share the spawn np, after a while they start flaming me and our group for being n00bs, even without ever talking to a single Nazgul before, and none of them knew who I was, then they started leeching from our mobs, trying to annoy us in several ways, eventually they died though, but we ressed their healer and got no thanks... NONE of us said anything in the beginning, or even after they leeched a few mobs as we thought they were mistaking it for their pull, people do mistakes, but after it happened several times and being called "n00by pride powerlevelers" we got quite annoyed... Thus, Nazgul has lost all respect from me for a long time as I havent seen anything else than whine, flame and leeching from their part even if we tried to act as well as we could.

Eleasias: I totally understand why you got frustrated with the other group, but I will say there are many decent players in Nazgul Guild so maybe you should inform their leaders of the people that caused you problems so they can take the appropriate action.

Something is fermenting in Midgård. A new era is at hand, what you see out in the borderlands is not the end of Midgård, but a new beginning. We ARE organising, and there will be turn of the tide. Laugh and taunt all you want, I am dead ceratin you will die laughing... All I can say is don't count us Middies out yet... or... on second thought, do count us out. That way it will be so much more fun to watch you as you notice my blade protrude from your bellies.

The Horn of Valhalla will sound again, and the North will once more awaken.:D

I have no problems with Nolby Pride or Nazgul, though their are people with strong sentiments against both these guilds.

Nolby pride appear to be a very insular guild when it comes to xping and small-time RvR, though they do impose themselves over the large RvR raids and such. I think possibly this is why some people are slightly annoyed with them. I do remember one relic raid that I thought was organised by some non-NP guys, where NP came in and declared they were the leaders. I just went with the general flow, but members of my then guild were really angry about the mess that followed and blamed NP specifically.

Haven't xp'd with many NP and Nazgul, but the ones I have been generally very nice people.

I have met and spoken to a few Nazgul and Nolby Pride people and they all seem like decent folk.
Please do not judge a guild on a few members, as its a lot bigger than what they are.
You just got to say to them :upyours: and get on with what your doing.

Eleasias, I apologise on behalf of Nazgul. Please believe that these people don't represent the guild. The problems with the alliance in middy are well documented, and it really annoys me that all the work that people have been doing to try and make the situation improve can be undone by sh*t like this....

I keep saying it, and I'll say it again, our biggest enemy is within our own realm, we gotta stop all this in-fighting, put our petty differences aside and start offering the albs (and hibs ;) some real fight. It seems to me we spend most of our energy fighting each other.

In addition to what Chesnor has said let me add the following, an extract from the Nazgul SOP which all members are expected to adhere to:

It is the requirement of ALL guild members to behave in a correct and appropriate manner while in-game. Foul and abusive language on open channels and the alliance channel will not be tolerated. There is nothing easier than for someone taking offence to grab a screenshot of any incriminating text and forwarding it to a Games Master, resulting more than likely in a ban for the perpetrator and the bringing of this guild’s reputation into disrepute. Keep it clean people…I personally don’t mind how much you swear on the guild and group channels (as long as it isn’t directed at another guild/group individual) but our behaviour reflects the values I and hopefully the rest of you stand for. If someone steals your mobs don’t curse em, private message an EC and let them deal with it for you.

As I have stated previously on GOA, this game attracts many individuals from a wide variety of age groups, levels of maturity and personality. There will always be misunderstandings arising from the very nature of the format of DaoC when the above is taken into consideration. Anyone who has grouped with me knows that I despise a) Exp Whores b) Drop Watchers and c) Bad behavior. If any of my members steps out of line I generally deal with it personally if it is brought to my attention. At the moment I'm a bit tied up with others getting this alliance up and running the way we have planned so make sure before you contact me with any complaint that it isnt some trivial petty and irrelevant bullshit like "X stole a mob from me" or "Y took a drop that I wanted." Otherwise the response is more than likely to be "Grow up you sad little prat" :)

On the issue of "the state of the nation" with regards to Midgard... There are a lot of good peeps here, many of whom have been attracted to or expressed an interest in the new alliance. There are also a great many selfish twats who put their own personal Exp and RP glorification before the need to work as a team and help, teach and develop others. They all bemoan the fact that Albion has our relics but none of them have the slightest idea what teamwork and co-operation are. You only have to look at the way a lot of high levels go wandering around Emain solo because their "cut" of RP points is vastly diluted by grouping with others. This is not my way and it aint the Nazgul way. Personal considerations are the least of our priorities and if some of the other "large" guilds in Midgard had the same philosophy, Winter, you wouldnt be sleeping as easy as you are now. But fear not (or actually fear a lot) we are getting there.

As has been said...

Things are a bit quiet with Midgard RvR of late.

Mainly because there is a large number of people working their way up levels who are now in the mid30's like me honing their group combat skills and slowly makign their ways up the levels a couple a week.
I went on the battlefield for the first time in a while last night as a reward for hitting 35. Twas fun, made 2k RP and died 5ish times ;-)

You wait in 1 month there will suddently be a force of 100+ middies hitting the 40's with great team skills and communication
and you will see what we can do..

Mids were great in emain on monday night. Was basically alb v hib at the wall as usual. Albs chased us down the valley to crim then retreated back to the bowl. we re-organised at crim and set off down the valley again and what did we find.....that the massive numbers of albions had all been wiped out by a large and very high level team of midgards (got to have been 40 of u at least). middies then battered us in the valley and from then on it was a great 3 way battle with the advantage swinging constantly between the 3 realms.

More of that please!
