What do you collect?

Biro's for life! Have to be black ink ones though, blue ink just looks so ugly .

I just can't write decently with a fountain, it's so slow when compared to a biro. Pencils are off course even faster, but they have the (minor) disadvantage that I can no longer read what I've written 2 days later .

I don't really collect anything. I hope to have lots of books later, but I wouldn't call myself a collecter, as most of them are only paperbacks .

I think it depends on a person's handwriting, and how aethetically pleasing the overall effect on the page. If its neat and tidy, then any colour ink is ok by me.

My personal favourite is purple ink. I got Mont Blanc to make me up a bottle of it and its gorgeous

And btw chain that looks new and sparkely isn't really appealing for those sort of people who wear it.

That´s actually true. Shiny and sparkley chain always looks a bit Errol-Flynn-ish. On the other hand, chain should never be too rusty. Somewhere ein between is about right IMO.
I can take a closeup pic of the chain tonight, then you´ll see that it´s not sparkley, but actually pretty matt-finished.

Just curious... are you doing some medieval recreation stuff?

Which is basically the same but a few people from it do recriational.

LARP is, as Mey will agree, very similar to a recriation but we go around roleplaying and beating each other up with latex swords which look like...

Sword has been used alot and is about to die, Tip is going on it. But when they come off the production line they do look like real swords. And I got pulled up by the police once and when they looked in my boot they saw loads of weapons and shit themselfs. I found it rather funny but the officer didn't

And trust me, if you get hit with that long sword you WILL feal it. It's not latex that everyone thinks it is. Theres a metal rod inside that which is covered in latex. I once came home with bruises all over :/

ah.. I used to do medieval combat and stuff in the Society for Creative Anachronism. We used to beat up each other with rattan weapons (same weight and handling as steel weapons, but blunt), full contact.

My friend has a full set of full plate. Cost him around 1k or something :s worth it though...

Ours is basically the same but we use safe weapons !! which arn't really safe as they hurt like hell. No head shots etc stuff like that.

Where abouts do you do it? Or do you still do it ?

I stopped being active a couple years ago due to work/RL stuff. The SCA is a worldwide organization though, there are events all over Europe. Those pictures were taken in Germany, but the main activities are in Sweden and the UK these days (and the US of course.. Pennsic Wars features about 3000 fighters every year. Never went to Pennsic myself, but it must be awesome).

I have a vast m:tg collection (around 30k from Arabian Nights to the most current set)

Thats about it i guess, boring i know compaired to you guys who have crap loads of weapons.

I bottle my own farts. Have a vast collection of different brews going back years. Currently working on a way to bottle 10 pints of beer and a Madras without actually shitting myself but I am failing miserably. The most viable way of collection is still the time honoured "sit in a bath of warm water and make your own jacuzzi" method.

I used to collect nasal fruit. I just picked each time I logged on until I made "Frank". He was a close friend of mine who was stuck to my tab key.. I removed him for fear of being accussed of using third party sorftware, he now sits on top of my monitor.

I may invest in a teeth plaque collection in the near future but for the time being that is on hold.

Other than that I am not really into collections.
