DAOC was the first "real" mmorpg I played. Okay, I took a few hours peeking into Ultima Online but since I only had a crappy connection at that time (plus no flatrate) I just played for my free month and quit again after that.
So I was stuck mostly with Singleplayer games...the usual stuff: Ultima IX, Starlancer, Dark Project, GTA, Jedi Knight...I think I played everything that was good (apart from Strategy-games - not because, i dont like them....its more that I suck at them).

As for rl...well, in the past years I was busy visiting university, getting a decent job, loosing that decent job again and getting married.
Well...a few other interesting things happened in that life aswell during that period but I won't tell you unless I am either seriously drunk or we know each other better

Lets see, yes lots of UT and RA.
But then I got my eyes on D2 and played it for about 4 and a half year before it really got overwealmed with cheats.

Been playing DAoC ever since and don't regreat it one min.
Miss D2 abit, but compared to this "none" cheating enviroment I'm totaly happy :swords:

Well, i racked up a huuge debt on records and booze (pay dj's more ffs!!).. indulged in my 2 favourite hobbies (jumping to conclusions and barking up the wrong tree), and erm, playing Phantasy Star Online on the dreamcast..
Paying off my debt nicely now though

Played UO (5xGM in 14 hours rar!), Planetarion, Imperial Conflict, CS (l33t), Jedi Knight, basically everything and anything that looked fun.

In RL played footie, went out drinking, clubbing, danceing, tae kwon do, swimming, uni, SUBA diveing, and pretty much anything else that seemed like a good idea at the time and was possibly regretable.

as for gameing:

qw -> some hl -> starcraft/q3 -> daoc

now with daoc i got no rl exept for buying food and working - time flies away

lets see pc wise started off with doom ~~~ played random singleplayer games till the internet was actually decent then started playing planetarion got bored of that discovered Counter-strike spent the better part of 2 years on that played diaspora between counter strike still dunno how a game so graphically bad could be so addictive then discovered a game called legend of mir which i thought was ace played that for a year then a m8 DTM told me to try this really good game in its beta stage called daoc and been on it eversince but still love my single player games and fps multiplayer games currently a student so a real life just aint possible atm
i occasionally sit down and read a book tv is shite and dont bother with that so not a complete geek AND IM NOT FAT OR SPOTTY OR WEAR GLASSES WOOHOO thats to those gits who stereotype geeks

I used to mostly play strategy games and FPS single players till the treaded day my mate and me decided to play each other accross a modem at C+C 1

I remember how cool it was to play against someone

Within a week i had joined a clan of C+C peeps

Moved onto quake and CS

All the time playing offline rpgs

Then tried a game by accident called LINEAGE

It was one of thebest game experiences i ever had, i still miss all the dudes from my old pledge Silent

Then after my account was hacked in the game i decided to join DAOC as a few of the lineage guys had talked bout it

Now ive been game for bout 6 months and i luv it loads

In RL ive not let the games affect me that much

if anything i dont drink as much as before which can be seen as a good and a bad thing

I get on with work etc and dont let the games interfere with my love life

Although i do admit to sitting down for 15+ hrs on this game which cant be healthy

Played classic Diablo from day of release until Diablo 2 , then moved on to DAoC over a year ago , cheating in Diablo 2 had become rampant and trading had become impossible , not my cup of tea , now I'm having a bit of time from DAoC to play classic Diablo SP , whoohoo forgot just how good this game is
