atm im reading "Stark" by ben elton, a book about how people have screwed up the world and the consequences of those actions, how an organisation of ultra rich are trying to save themselves and how a bunch of folk (including a giant hippy, mental ex vietnam vet with no knackers, a nerd and the obligiotary hot chick) are trying to thwart them.

Very funny books this guy writes and i recommend anything you see by him, if your a fan (or not) of big brother i recommend "dead famous"

At the moment I am reading Salman Rushdie's "Midnight's Children".

Recently read the three Hannibal Lecter books (If any more exist tell me!) and Heroes and Demons but after the sheer skill of Thomas Harris Dan Brown's irritating "ham writing" (think William Shatner's style of acting and compare) falls flat on its face and I just can't bear the thought of reading Da Vinci Code.

"Sociology and the Modern society" - not really reading, studying more like :).

As soon as I get these exams over and done with I'm planning to start on Zola's Germinal, just to see how I like that style. Then I'll be looking for some new books again, probably something by Sartre (thinking of l'être et le néant) and maybe some Russian stuff :).

For some reason Ezter reminded me of "Are you Experienced?" by William Sutcliffe, which was quite a funny book, about a guy spending a holiday with a female friend of his, for the sole purpose of getting laid :p

Likewise, quicker, drama when you need it, it's just lacking one thing.

At the moment, this forum :p

Being dyslexic I'd rather wait for the movie then read a book. Took me 2 years to read Lord of the Rings

You can't blame that on being dyslexic, an irl friend of mine is dyslexic too and he read a book which was english in 3 hours, the book had 33 chapters, and he isn't good at english too.

Just started reading Assasin's Apprentice by Robin Hobb (female).
It's a trioligy as far as I know, and some friends of mine spoke highly of it so I gave it a shot.

Thats an amazing series, an excellent choice and its also followed by another set of three books which once again had me laughing of crying. No other author plays with my emotions as well as Robin Hobb has.
