Why do i get the impression that this thread is mainly being used for the purpose of a few people demonstrating how X-TREME!!!11 their music tastes are :twak:

I'm sorry, but going on about listening to Dimmu Borgir, and Slipknot et al, imho, makes you macho fools. Even some of the bands that genuinely are original, interesting, and yes, extreme, don't really need sticking in a thread where there's about three of you who might know the band or be interested in them.

Sorry, but you = knobs, imo.

Obviously, everyone else who are ignoring the stupid spamming of bands they haven't heard of, and wouldn't want to, aren't necessarily stupid... But in Manks case, deffinately are :D (Manics and all that :kissit: )

That's all very nice, but why the fuck are you posting in here then?

I like these threads. I like to see what people are listening to. I like to laugh at the people listen to metal and stubby amuses me with his wacky ways. It's also a slightly arse-around-face way of finding about new bands, admittedly Misleath and Maxi are pretty much the only two people ever likely to listen to something I'd be interested in but yeah. So there.

I'm listening to a really extremely obscure nobody's ever heard of them band called The Smiths, cool!!!!!!

It's not the thread i have the problem with :) I just like to have a go at the metal posers who somehow think they're impressing people.

And i'm posting probably because i'm bored having skyved work today due to the afteraffects of the aforementioned night out :D

Why shouldnt people be interested in more 'EXTREME!11111' types of music Shocko? People can listen to anything they want, just because alot more people on here listen to metal and heavier music (the type of people that play these games/can use forums etc) compared to the average ammount you would find outside irl you think everyone here is some metal poser?

(Btw I own IOWA, Subliminal verses, Enthrone Darkness Triumphant and Puritanical Euphoric Misanthropia or how ever its spelled, and I have alooooot of DB songs downloaded. And just like quite a few of people hear I actually like *gasp* this music :p)

I've not really heard many of their songs but I have to say I am very impressed with this song despite not hearing it until recently considering it was released a fair while back.

Think im gonna have to top up my collection with some manic's stuff. :)

No, it's specifically you and Mobius i find to be doing the "posing", for the reasons mentioned previously.

I really don't care what you think of me, and your life must be so great that you come and call people on the internet posers. Really, think about it...why would I post that I'm listening to metal songs if I'm not? I've also posted The Streets (both albums which I love) so, I don't really understand how that makes me a poser? I also listen to AC/DC, Iron Maiden and the Beachboys. Yes I'm fairly new to the whole Metal scene but I enjoy it, otherwise I wouldn't listen to it would I? Yeah I make noob mistakes (as you've seen from Shanks correcting me occasionally...damn metal guru ;))

http://www.dol-amroth.net/mobius/Playlist.html

I'd really waste 23gb of HD space, and countless hours downloading music so I could pretend to be hardcore on the internet to a bunch of strangers.

Also, are skinny white dudes with panda makeup and leather trousers macho? :p

Think im gonna have to top up my collection with some manic's stuff. :)

When I started listening to MSP I started with 'This is my truth, tell me yours' (the album from if you tolerate this... comes from), it is very easy listening but far from the best of MSP. Then I listened to 'Everything must go', which I think is an even better album with very strong tracks like A design for life, Everything must go and Australia.

Then I got 'Generation Terrorists' and I was in love, with tracks like Motorcycle emptiness and Little baby nothing (with Traci Lords on backing vocals) there couldn't be a much better album. 'The holy bible' is also a very good MSP album, but it can be kinda hard to get into.

As for 'Gold against the soul' and 'Know your enemy' I never really gotten into them.

Hope this gives you some hints about MSP :D
