There's something about this song that always makes me get all nostalgic and reminiscent and stuff. Great song, especially the ending.

I agree, played to death at thouse family function things but no, it's not even close to the shittest song of all time. How can any song with the verse:

be the shittest song of all time? That is an amazing verse of working class, youthful resiliance. It's brilliant. Kevin Rowland is a genius. Billy Bragg, The Clash, whatever...very few pure punk bands wrote a verse that great and a *lot* of them attempted the Two Fingers To This Fucking Estate Full Of Idiots shit.

Only matter to those who listen to the words, and since i've only ever heard the song at the shittest of functions at the aformentioned bowling clubs - the only bit I know is the plinky-plonky opening, the shite chorus and the "slow down middle eight" bit.

That's all I remember.
