The substance of posts on this (General) forum is quite damning really. It's just reposts of BBC News links, and random shit that's been posted 100 times before... "lok at this grate Flash game!... spank the monkey!".
It also seems almost impossible to discuss anything of any substance without it degenerating into prejudice and misinformed people throwing opinions around that hold no water.

The sooner they get rid of the Barrysworld logo on these forums the better. Barrysworld was a nice, cosy self-regulating place, where anyone who got too big for their boots got swiftly cut down to size. With the recent spate of bannings for, frankly ludicrous reasons (apparently having a sense of humour is norty and is not condoned by Game plc - altho tbh, looking at Game's prices someone somewhere has a wicked sense of humour), regular stiflings of free speech and very little respect for anyone who frankly doesn't give a shit if someone they have never met has a birthday, this place ain't Barrysworld. It's just another over-commercialised forum, where those with personality are weeded out and deemed "inappropriate" to take part in our community.
At this rate these forums will be full of Super_Gray clones, which I think we can all admit, will suck some serious cock.
Any fond memories I had of the fantastic community that was Barrysworld have pretty much been erased by this latest wave of gayness. Hope you're happy.

Look, this isnt a democracy. You dont have a right to post what you want. My intention was to make the place more newbie friendly and some posts of this thread go against that concept.
I'm only human and I see it how I see it and will react accordingly. Perplex and .cage had a point to make and I dont want it made on here, as it serves no purpose other than to wind me up. Some of cages posts in the past have had me in stitches and I'm sorry to lose him for those, but some of his other stuff shows how angry he is.
I've written to Dimebag about his issues with us, and I'm happy to discuss matters with cage and perp out of here too. I really dont want to ban people, I've always avoided it in the past and it causes grief of its own.
I'm happy to say that unbanning people is always an option, but we have to come to an agreement first.
I have a duty to my employer and my customers and I have to juggle those priorities, and the fact that there 2 subsets of customers, newbies and er... oldies.. doesnt make it easier.
Anyway, I'll talk to perp and cage as I have to Dimebag and hopefully we can all stop beating each other up like this and come to an understanding that allows us all to enjoy these forums.
