I wonder if Jaba has a point about scary films, horrors etc.
It might be worth trying to somehow "purge" your mind by not watching horror or sci-fi or fighting and stuff (assuming thats what you watch) or even fantasy movies. Try not to watch telly for a couple of hours before you go to bed, dont play games that involve killing and creatures etc, maybe read some form of gentle book, erm, like comedy or romance or something (I know its a bit shit, but you never know).
It strikes me that your brain is working over-time even as you drift off to sleep and perhaps its still going crazy and creating these illutions or hallucinations while you sleep, then not realising when you wake........or something :\
Im no doctor, but if they continue much more, I would seriously consider seeing a psychiatrist, not your GP.
