Why do I get the feeling I'm ripped? hmm.. No idea what my body weight is but i'm about 5'10 and weight about 75kilos, so probably overweight by the BMI's standard but it's a lot of muscle with a small amount of fat, Rugby xD

If you wan't to lose weight for a BMI you need to reduce your carbohydrate intake and get regular cardiovascular on the go, about 3 times a week standard. I'd recommend that to anyone even if they're not trying to lose weight.

You're not gonna put 2 points of BMI on in 2/3 weeks anyway unless you sit in a chair and eat shit all day, I wouldn't worry about it. As long as you pass any fitness tests, i.e multi stage fitness tests or individual obstacles you'll spank it.

Get a lot of exercise. Find a good stretch of road and start jogging. Eat less carbons and more protein / fruit / vegetables, that is your best bet.

Went the gym did 1hour and 45 minutes mixture of bike, handle bars thing, running machine and then 20 minutes of weights. Feel great! LOL.

Reweighed myself aswell and I am infact 80kg so my BMI is 27.03 odd. Which is still overweight but clear by 3 points now.

I've started the gym thing so going to keep at it, I think I'm addicted lol!

Why do i get the feeling you're small too? :ninja:

Anyways, i can do 3000+ in the 12 minute running test. If that tells you anything.

Yeah, i could do 2500+ when i was a skinny nerd back in school on the 7th grade. It really doesn't tell anything else that you have some stamina and ain't a rolling tank.

Maybe cause it seems to be your prepared reply in this thread?

I'm 1.83cm long and 80kg so I'm not big agreee, but not very skinny either. And 30+ is IMO fat (according to the scale i think its obese even). Nothing wrong with being fat tho imho.

The point was: fat people dont run very fast. (and yeeeeees yeyeysyeyyess goddamnit, i know its not proof of anything, but it gives you some idea)

Being skinny is no excuse.

This guy is supposed to be morbidly obese.

Now im not saying im ronnie coleman. What i am saying is that im muscular enough to be borderline over weight/obese according to my BMI.

And yes i know, i just completely wtfpwned you verbally. :(

It doesn't, but if unless you're not gonna have a BMI over 30 if you're not proper built.

I'd have though most athletes would be in the 25-30 range, which is overweight, while 30+ is obese.

But think of ppl like for example those who compete in strong men competitions. You can't call them fat cuz' all they got are muscles. But many of them have a BMI far over 30.

BMI (as has probably been mentioned) tends not to work very well if you are taller than around 180cm or smaller than 160cm, or if you do any kind of muscle building etc :p

according to my BMI im overweight when im clearly not (infact im about 10kgs underweight according to my doc despite eating like a hog :| )
